I keep dropping too! And I review the damn list! WTF??? lol

I need to get some more challenges going, but I can't seem to get people to accept apparently...

Not sure exactly, except that I may have made a mistake originally, which has happened, but I will double check for you.

Here's a question that occurred to me Don...how does it work that an unranked challenger gets the option of challenging anyone in the Bottom 50, but a ranked challenger only gets the option of challenging w/in 15 ranks?

I was wondering when someone was going to ask this. It's mainly due to wanting to treat listed players all the same, while at the same time allowing unlisted drivers to have more drivers to pick from, to get on the list.

A non-listed driver has this one shot to pick someone off in this manner, so it forces him to really weigh his options because once he is on the list, he is stuck with dealing with only the 15 drivers above himself from then on.

It's not perfect I admit, and I could modify the rules further, but rather than get all caught up in that I thought I'd let it go for now and keep things simple.

yes id love to know how cruz control is ahead of me now when i been in 12th since the list came out plus as far as im aware he is not ranked above me an anyranking overall..just wondering i found it odd is all..to be honest the only reason i redid timetrials was to keep from falling and now i dropped 7 spots to guys who i was ahead of overall in the first place wierd i guess

I obviously don't know all that is going on with rankings calculations/updates, but I do know that
CruzCntrl recently won a FWC11, an IFCA event, and that probably played a factor in his ranking going up.

i believe it most certainly did. Thats why you should be in IFCA Mr.Project! My boy's slow to learn...

You are correct Adequate, Cruz did do something no one has ever done, win 3 FWCs in a row. His rank now reflects this amazing run.

i always thought u could only vote the top 20 if u were unranked, now its 50?

and now im on the list very very low, i can only challenge ppl 15 spots ahead? ( most of them are gaming champs and dont even know the list is here )

Heres something that my stats are telling me:

The Drivers with the most wins in the IWR:

1. JMR 358 / VVV GTDon / R2P Xray with 3 wins
2. SP33D RAC3R 28x / GSR Watson / VVV Lippakorv with 2 wins

Of all matches, the Drivers being challenged have won 62% of the matches

Still think FinPro & Yggdrasil are ranked far too high... It would seem that the stats are a lot more biased toward IFCA/CGS Participation. Drivers like Cam, Daveyskills & Picasso deserve their rank because of their efforts in Hot lap, Time Trial and the T10 Hot lap challenges but For the life of me I have never seen Yggdrasil or FinPro on any leaderboard so I fail to see how they are ranked higher than players like Greeksniper or Mayhem.

fascinating! This would indicate that the ranking order is more correct than incorrect since the favored drivers have the higher win percentage. Excellent!

The CGS drivers are slightly anomalous in general, and as noted before it is assumed that to be a "pro" you would naturally have to be on a top list of some kind. Of course, all of the CGS drivers would tell you that they should be in the top 25, but without the raw data to back such a claim this is not reasonable. Instead we have to interview people, gain as much info as we can, and make an educated guess on most of them.

Both FinPro & Yggdrasil come highly recommended by their contemporaries. Each has a history of superior talent in one form or another with witnesses. Their CGS performance also backs these assumptions and demands serious consideration.

There's no denying that both Yggdrasil and FinPro are amazing but what I'm getting at is, why is the CGS the biggest slice of Pie? The list is based on 7 different criteria so I fail to see how it is fair if someone who meets 1/7 of the criteria is ranked higher than someone who meets 5 or 6/7 of the critieria like Greeksniper and Mayhem who are a few places back.

That aside, great work on the list yet again, I'm climbing pretty fast

The CGS aspect of the formula will slowly be brought to heel, but it was thought that just as in any sport those that play professionally should be given more weight is all.

The CGS has been a thorn in the calculations for some time, and I for one will be glad to see them reduced. Some of this may depend on what direction the CGS goes in the future.

A few things:
1. CGS drivers have been chosen and placed in thier positions by political measures, not for thier talent as drivers even though SOME of them have talent as drivers. This being said, they are the same as everyone else and if they would like to be in the top 25 they can start by challenging someonr in the bottom 50 like everyone else.

2. The issue of the bottom 50 etc.
Simple solution: any unranked driver may challenge a ranked driver in the bottom 50 (#150+/200) once a driver is ranked, they can still challenge anyone in the bottom 50 untill they leave the bottom 35, then they are allowed to challenge 15 spots. any questions?? this seems completely fair to me
