okay Dan, you are back on, and your estimated rank is very high at #101 it turns out. Feel free to challenge anyone up to 20 ranks above you if you want to go higher. Here is a list of "easy" marks you can go after, I'm sure few if any of these would be able to withstand your superior skills...

Wish I could, since the fm.net site upgrade I haven't been able to access the site while at work, and of course I'm at work.

yeah the fnet update makes it so i can't reply to threads without hitting refresh like 20 times to finally get the thing to load properly...

definitekarl, create a new thread in this forum issuing your challenge. I didn't bother to check the list, but if you are unranked, redpod will have the option to pick BOTH car and track selections.

So this is probably already been discussed, but I don't feel like searching at the moment, so...how will it work once Race Pro (or any other worthy future 360 sim racer) is released? Will there be a new list for Race Pro seperately or will there be a new list of "IFCA Sim Racer World Rankings List"? Just curious.

There will be a different list for RacPro, but it may not be like the Forza2 list, or there may not be a list at all depending on exactly how the game data can be mined.

I can tell you right now that the two are very different games. Forza2 is more the "game" and RacPro is more of a "simulator." Chances are if you really like Forza2, you will not care for RacePro. My guess is only about 60% of the Forza2 drivers will like RacePro.

I like both aspects, so you can expect to see me there, but my "graded performance" may not be quite on par with FM2...still be fun to have a new sim racer to play around with though, and hopefully it will have readily obtainable data to generate another list such as the rankings list for FM2...also, for team/club performance tracking.

Don, Race pro may be a simulator, but isn't forza a pretty realistic simulator? If Race pro is more realistic, my goodness, i am going to love it!

O yea, does my IFCA performance move my rank? for ex: i took 2nd in the spec class, would that move my rank up at all?

To answer your question 3wide, yes, IFCA events do play a factor in the IFCA World Rankings List...so, yes, it would move you up the list if your performed/finished well in the races.

My understanding is that FM2 has only the aspects of a simulation racer, which is to say that it is more like an arcade racer attempting to behave as a simulator. This is from the perspective of a PC based sim-racer mind you. If RacePro (as I suspect) is a sim-racer trying to behave more like an arcader, then I will be very pleased. Such a creation will be nearly the antithesis of FM2, and offer us a stark contrast on many levels.

3wide, your finishing position in the series affects the ranking. Individual races i believe do not, although i could be mistaken

Please remove the NH2 drivers from the list. They used slam drafting to take top times, and I don't believe we should acknowledge this behavious by including them on the list.

I was just looking at screenshots for Race pro... I am not too impressed with the graphics, do you think they will look better on an actual tv than on the internet or is that as good as they get?
