IFCA Licenses Empty IFCA Licenses

Post by IFCA Eries Sun Mar 31, 2024 7:50 am

Hi All,

We are in the process of incorporating IFCA Licenses.

Please note that a license would be required to race, but everyone gets a license to start with.

There will be 4 licenses:

IFCA Licenses Elites10  IFCA Licenses Advanc11  IFCA Licenses Interm10  IFCA Licenses Beginn10

At any stage if the racer is found to not adhere to clean driving, being polite and respectful towards other racers, the license they are currently holding will be demoted to the license directly below. If they hold a Beginner license, it will be revoked and granting of a new license will be subject to scrutiny (See below the Beginner license section). This is a non-negotiable rule, and over any other rules. This rule will be known as Rule #1.

ELITE License:
The Elite Class License represents the highest echelon of achievement in the IFCA. Drivers with this license are esteemed for their exceptional skill, experience, and track record of success. They are the seasoned veterans and top contenders, respected by peers and fans alike for their prowess on and off the racetrack.

  • Gain / Regain this license: Being an Advanced licensed racer and finishing top 4 for at least half of the races in 3 back to back seasons.
  • Keep this license: Do not miss more than half of the seasons races entered, missing races sequentially.
  • Lose this license: Miss more than half the seasons races sequentially, demoted to Advanced License.
  • Bonus A: When reaching this license racers will be placed on the forum into the Elite Forum Group, which grants them access to the Elite Racers Lounge, where they are able to request tuning assistance from any other Elite racer. It in time will also create a database of tunes and ideas that will even further assist in honing their race craft. This is a private space which only Elite and above racers can access.
  • Bonus B: An additional Bonus they will receive will be the grant of an additional vote whenever there is a vote, EG. Next season formats etc.
  • Bonus C: Their Username font will be Gold (IFCA ELITE)

ADVANCED License:
Signifies drivers who have attained a commendable level of proficiency and expertise in the IFCA. These drivers have honed their craft through dedication, training, and competitive IFCA racing experience. They are capable competitors, capable of delivering solid performances and competing at a high level in the league.

  • Gain / Regain this license: Being an Intermediate Licensed Racer and finishing top 8 for at least half of the races in 2 back to back seasons.
  • Keep this license: Do not miss more than half the races for the season entered in any sequence.
  • Lose this license: Miss more than half the races for the season entered in any sequence, demoted to Intermediate License.
  • Bonus: Being an Advanced Licensed racer grants them one additional vote whenever there is a vote, EG. Next season formats etc.

INTERMEDIATE License:
Is awarded to IFCA drivers known for their adeptness at cleanly handling race conditions in heavy traffic. These drivers excel on all tracks, demonstrating agility, reflexes, and nerve as they navigate challenging corners and straightaways in packs. They are valued for their ability to push the limits while maintaining safe control.

  • Gain / Regain this license: Being a Beginner licensed racer and finishing top 16 for at least half of the races in a single season.
  • Keep this license: Do not miss more than one race in the season you have entered.
  • Lose this license: Miss more than one race in the season they have entered, demoted to Beginner License.

BEGINNER License:
Is awarded to the new drivers, and drivers who haven't enough races to gain a higher license yet. These are the motivated IFCA drivers who want to progress and punch their ticket for obtaining the higher Intermediate IFCA License.

  • Gain / Regain this license: All new racers or racers who have been disqualified from the previous season, will automatically be given a Beginner License, unless the racer was disqualified due to breaking Rule #1 (See below).
  • Keep this license: Do not miss a single race in the season you have entered.
  • Lose this license: Missing a race in the season you have entered or not showing up, disqualified from remaining races for the season.

Every racer when entering a season will be evaluated and given their licenses. These are on merit, activity, and behavior from the previous season. Beginner Licenses are granted to all that enter a season to begin with, and if they have no current active license from the previous season.  In other words you have to have a license to race in any IFCA season to begin with.

If a racer has been removed from a Season, and the reason for revoking of their license was due to breaking Rule #1, the racer might not receive even a Beginner's license for the next season they may want to enter, this by the discretion of the IFCA Administrators, with input from the VIP Members.

As you can see, it is difficult to lose any license or have it demoted/revoked. However, once your license has been demoted down to a Beginner race license, it would be exactly that. Such drivers will need to work their way back up to where they may have been. These racers are given a single entry to a season. Missing or not showing up for any of the races in the season, or breaking Rule #1 in any way, and your Beginner license will be revoked, meaning, the racer won't be able to race for the remainder of that season, and possibly the next.

Racers can view their licenses by looking at their profiles, where it would be listed under their Rank.  There will also be an additional License column associated with the Driver Ratings List where you can see everyone's current license.

*Please note that your IFCA License and your IFCA Skill Level/Rating are not the same things.  You can be highly rated and also have a Beginner License.  Or, you can have a higher License, but with a lower Skill Level/rating.  The two are somewhat mutually exclusive.  At the same time, acquiring an Elite License will by definition mean that you have been a top 10 driver for several seasons, and doing so will naturally force you to be higher rated.

THE IFCA VIP BADGE:

IFCA Licenses Vip_sm10

IFCA VIP Members, indicated with above badge and RED font Usernames (IFCA VIP), are granted full access to races, and above 4 license rules don't apply except Rule #1 (This always applies to all racers). These racers can lose their VIP status, by breaking Rule #1 as well as also not adhering to the IFCA Code of conduct or Mission statements. To become a VIP member, racers need to have completed 5 full seasons back to back and not have missed a single race all whilst being an ELITE licensed racer.

This is an incredibly difficult badge to receive, and is only awarded to the IFCA's most loyal racers and members, posting, constructive and going above and beyond.

The racers in Season 1 & 2, will be measured against past participation, demeanor etc., in order to fast track their licenses. You might see some VIPs, Elite Racers already before the commencement of season 3.
