i like speeds thought process to the whole IWR thing

When will the next update be?

probably next Monday

None that I know of. His Forza stats should place him no lower than 30th or so, but he came highly recommended during his exploits in SPDN and prior as I recall.

He will be "adjusted" as soon as Monday along with everyone else, and after I look back on his notes.

Ahh, our good friend GEL, surely you don't count yourself as a "lesser known" CGS guy do you? Welcome GEL, welcome to the IFCA!

I hope you had a chance to read all about the more open shall we say version of the IWR list, where you or onyone on the list can arrange a challenge match with anyone on the list for the benefit of all Forza interested players and fans?
These are merely exhibition matches understand, and are more for our education and entertainment than anything.

We do hope you will see fit to either issue some challenges or accept them. Everyone (or almost everyone) here would be very interested in watching you perform at your level best.

I'm told that despite your CGS experience you can race as clean as anyone, and we here at the IFCA would expect no less.

Agreed opinions are necessary, however I dont even know who he speaks of, I mean I know he speaks of GTO. Other than him who else doesnt derserve it? huh? Educate me?

its not a matter of GTO although I do agree he and chavisan should not be on the list as the CGS is the only acconplishment they have, which we all know, being a CGS pro gamer doesnt really mean your great at anything. politics play a huge roll there.

I believe Miximup, SACKAMONJARO, Phantom, yourself and muffinman are over rated. i'm not saying that YOU and MUFFINMAN don't have the potential to be there but you have to evidence to justify it. as for SACKAMONJARO, Miximup and Phantom, they also have no notable Forza achievements ther than the CGS. I dont believe anyone should be given a free pass to the top just because of the CGS.

Aside from that, JasonX and Chompr are ahead of PoTtH3D, Hoozierdaddie, Eries, and Gone in 60. I don't feel these people have in any way justified thier positions on the list, therefore they do not deserve it.

Eries would PWN all!!

why jason and chompr, I was faster then them all season with cgs cars. What draws the line with them. Given equal preperation with a car/track combo I would say, sack, mix and phantom would be faster than yourself. I mean all three of them finished infront of you at the combine and were running faster than you at the combine.

As far as forza accomplishments, if I wanted to I could pass you on all of the hotlap boards in 1 week. Would that make me in your eyes good enough to be in the CGS? Some people dont have time to do things like hotlapping and league racing. So they do the big stuff that actually has large benefits. Which was the case with me, if I had the time I would raid the scoreboards as I did in forza 1. I dont have time.

BTW winning the qualifier that all of you tried to do is enough evidence that I am fast enough.

Well I do not hotlap, never have and never will. I do not own any hotlap cars and will never touch them. the point is the list is not made up of who "could be" the fastest drivers, its made up of solid evidence which most of these people lack. the people you mentioned were faster then me at the combine under pretenses that they were used to and trained with. if these people are or could be faster than me, they can challenge me for my spot, but should not be given it by default.
BTW these people were not faster than me at the combine, wallrides and takeouts (thinks im not accustomed to) played a huge roll in victory and the gameplay was closer to PGR than forza. Im not here to discuss why the combine was bad because I could go on for days with that, im simply stating: the list is supposed to be made up of hard evidence not potential and "I would be"s. I didnt say your not fast enough to be in the CGS, i mean technoboy's fast enough to be in the CGS. speed has nothing to do with it.

You have a sound point GEL, and few should question your skill, it is legend, even today. Your opinion holds more water here than you might think, and is respected, even if slightly different.

SP33D is also respected and a real talent too, who has a different take on what happened in CGS, one that is no less real than your own.

Rather than dispute the account, maybe better is to try to understand it. We allow opinion to thrive here, and will do what we can to protect each point of view.

OMG!! technoboy was picked as a taxi player because it was a good strategy. The point is, no one wanted him, so there would never be a problem keeping jason and chompr.

Lets just say you got picked as the taxi for chicago, you prove yourself to be fairly quick and even fairly knowledgable about the strategy of the rules. Someone wants to pick you up from another team, but hey you are doing good, so B-Flanders doesnt want you to go to another team. In that case he would have to make a choice between letting you go and switching you with one of his other players. Which wouldnt be fun, with technoboy, he never had to worry about someone wanting his taxi driver. Good Strategy.

Well chicago picked on strategy alone, LA picked on strategy alone, NY picked based on reputation as did Carolina, Dallas' team was picked before the combine based on chaos' opinion, and San Fransisco picked a "team" based on strategy as they werent the fastest but worked good together. this is all true and I understand it all. it just doesnt offer much towards why these people should be placed amongst the "best in the world" for this list just for being picked for the CGS.

Bottom line, Michael Johnson didnt compete in the 2008 Olympics for whatever reason (didnt have the time etc.) hje can be considered one of the fastest runners who has ever lived, that doesnt mean they should give him an olympic medal because he COULD beat most of those guys. that wouldnt make much sense.

were the three fastest teams this year inthe CGS and they finished at the top of the CGS. You have to realize that there is a reason people have reputations, and 99.9% of the time, the reputation holds true. Which it did in the case of myself, CBD and darkstorm.

well its not being said that noone in the CGS deserves to be in the IWR list, it is only being said that being in the CGS should not grant automatic entry onto the list.

I seem to be somewhat in the middle here on this issue. CGS love it or hate it, was recognized to have gathered together what they thought were largely the best by test the Forza community had to offer. CGS made pro sim-drivers out of these folks.

It is always assumed that those who play for money are going to be either the best at it, or nearly the best. This assumed status means that one would be justified in at least including them on any such list of say, the top 200 or so.

Where exactly they should be placed on such a list is difficult especially when they have little to no historical data to judge. And this is obviously SP33D's point, that the majority of CGS players can't possibly be on such a list without said data. This would be mostly true, but as specified, CGS heroics/results were given a place in the data field. Some say too great of one, I know, but it seemed otherwise too incomplete to leave them out too.

Oh well, eventually the list will correct itself over time.

Birmingham Salvo had the best team on paper and from the sounds of it in CGS. 2 fastest UK guys in one team, as much as I dont like to follow the CGS, but nuff said

Any news on the list update?

Work delay, but sometimes this week for sure.

After the 2008 season has finished, is there going to be a new list with the results from the last series calculated?
