Season 18 Team Requirements

You do not have to be on a team to race. But you will be handicapping yourself if you are not on a team.

Team drivers will have a points advantage as well as a performance advantage. The performance advantage is born out of mutual support. As we all know, 3 brains are better than 1. Each team is required to have no less than 3 drivers.

Team names must be IFCA approved.

Whether you are a team driver or a single, your driver race #s must be either your official IFCA # that you earned the previous season, or, any # over the #17.

Team livery requirements:
1.)You must visibly display the IFCA URL on all 4 sides of the lower part of your car i.e., ifca.forumotion,com or www.ifca.forumotion.com.
2.)You must visibly display your official race # on all 4 sides of the car or any # above #17.
3.)Team cars are required to visibly display 1 major sponsor of their choice.
4.)Team cars must have matching livery graphics. Different color schemes are permitted.
5.)Team cars are required to use a black hood/bonnet. (non-Team cars are not permitted to use black hoods/bonnets.)
6.)Team names must be visibly displayed on both sides of car.
7.)No obscene graphics or languages are permitted.
8.)No cars are permitted to use tinted windows.

1.) Team Points

Teams earn a maximum of 3 team points every round, if, every team member is able to secure a top 12 practice lap time. Doing it this way means that smaller teams can not be easily crushed by bigger teams. Or put another way, a smaller team would find it easier to grab bonus points than a bigger team.

2.) Driver Season Points

If a team achieves their team points each round, team members will then individually also earn +0.50 seasonal drivers points each round. In addition, if every team member competes in every race of the season each driver earns an additional +1.75pts at the end of the season. Again this favors smaller teams because it is easier for a smaller team to make every race.

FYI, If a team member is unable to race, you may use a substitute driver in order to keep your season completion bonus intact. The idea is to demand that the entire team uses all of its drivers to race each weekend. If you can't find a sub, and ultimately fail as a team to race all 7 races with a full team of drivers (3), you will lose the 1.75 team bonus points at the end of the season.

Team ties in points will be resolved by the aggregate team rating. That is, all team member ratings will be added together and averaged to produce a "team rating" and this will break all ties at the end of the season.
