Season 10 of the Forza Masters!
Welcome drivers one and all!
The fine folks here at the IFCA continue the quest to pursue Trans Am glory at its best! Whether you enjoy new school Late Model Trans Am cars, or the tried and true character of the old school original Trans Am cars, our doubleheader format has you covered.
Just as with the two previous seasons you are invited to have a go at both sides of the Trans Am coin. On the Late Model S-Class side there are 17 cars to pick from. They all have a pre-selected build and are considered a type of Spec build. All you have to do is build them accordingly. After 2 seasons of racing the BoP is tight, all you have to do is decide which car suits you best at the 5 tracks we will race this season. To help you out we provide two levels of builds depending on your IFCA computer rating. Bronze level drivers below a 1967.000 rating are allowed the upgraded version of the Silver level build. Lightest wheels instead of stock wheels, and 1 compound upgrade.
Over in our A-Class Vintage Trans Am category, things are more open for those of you who enjoy tinkering with your builds. Though there are no Bronze options, certain restrictions are in force such as minimum weight limits, hp limit, mandatory race roll cages, widest race tires, and maximum wheel sizes limited to 18 inches specific to each car. There are 40 cars to pick from.
What's unique about our original Trans Am cars is the points handicap formula that applies to them. The cars are fairly close to begin with, but adding this extra layer of equality means that if you drive a car that is designated as faster than average, you'll have to give some season points away after each race. But if you drive a car that is slower than average, season points will be added to your results each race. Many cars fall in between these two extremes, it's up to you to decide what you want. You'll have to judge based on the tracks offered, history of the cars, and your own skill level as to which car will benefit you the most in the end.
We call this series the "IFCA Forza Masters Trans Am series" for a reason. It's your chance to display your talents as a Forza driver, builder, and tuner. You will be challenged in all of these areas. Perform well in all aspects of your Forza knowledge and you will be in reach of a podium every week. It's not enough just to be fast, you'll need some measured strategy, practice, and car development time to succeed.
The opening round is at Suzuka East, Saturday Dec 11th 7pm EST. 39laps 1 pit stop for both races. 4lap qualifier before the race, limited to a 24 driver field.
With bonus incentive programs for things such as fastest practice lap, pole position, fastest race lap, track lap record, Builder Bonus, and season completion, there is more than one way to get to the top box.
So come join us where the odds of winning are not stacked against you, but for you.
Maybe you want to race but can't on Saturdays? No problem, we also have a Wed night practice race you can join just for fun at 9pm EST.
