2020 IFCA Grudge Match Racing!
Welcome to the 2020 IFCA Grudge Match Races beginning the weekend of Nov 14th-15th!
Have you ever been in a public lobby and wanted to race that one guy who thinks he's better than you, but in a fair race? You know the guy, the track bully, the one that cuts the track, dive bombs everyone, always uses the best leaderboard cheater lobby car in every race. You know, that guy who unfairly beat you and then bragged about it to everyone like he was a boss? No?
Well, maybe it's not that hostile maybe it's more technical and there's the one guy who always seems to have the better car that has hours of tuning into it. Or maybe it's someone that you know you can beat, given a fair opportunity. Maybe it's even a friend? Maybe, it's a guy you can't actually beat but would love to see someone else beat him?
Whatever the case might be, one thing is for sure, we all want payback at some point or another. And this is your chance! In this 8 week series, we pick the track and the P.I., and you pick the car and the build, for a one on one race where you negotiate the terms of the race.
Yes, there are specific limits in place such as every car must have the widest racing tires and no downforce. You have to agree with your opponent to race on Saturday or Sunday each week. The race length is only 4laps. You can ask for as much as a 6sec headstart between IFCA skill levels. And/or you can ask to lower the P.I. of your higher rated opponent too. It's all up to you and your opponent what the terms are. You can also agree to a heads-up race.
The winner gets to report the results and accumulate points each round. At the end of the 8 weeks, the top 8 in points will have a championship runoff to determine the 2020 IFCA Grudge Match Champion.

For info on how the pairings work and where you will find them:
Bear in mind we know that not everyone will have the time or courage to do this series and that you may not be able to reach your opponent to set up a match. It happens. But considering the short 4lap race itself is only about 8min long, it will be difficult to legitimize a lack of time as an excuse for why they can't or won't compete. So don't be that guy.
Random pairings, track, and P.I. will be posted Friday, Oct 30th. This should give everyone plenty of time to reach out to their opponent to setup a time to race and practice before week 1 on Nov 14th-15th.
Good Luck!
