Also, I feel as if most guys are going to be running the Hellcat this weekend, so I'm going to switch it up and run the Mclaren. I'll have a tune posted & shared by the name of IFCA whenever I get around to practicing
Sounds good. I'll send you a friend request soon.

Hey everyone,
I created and uploaded an IFCA logo, I felt we needed one with the website on it......just in case we stream it or upload it to youtube. Hopefully that will bring more competition.

Re: IFCA Series News
Are we going to replicate the Continental Tire banner that goes across the windshield? I know some of the cars you can't place on the windshield. But could place above the windshield. I've seen that done in other series. Also we will have classes placed as well? example GS or TCR?

No requirements at this time, however as we go it would look cool to do and then make it a requirement.

i made all the Continental Tire series decals and banner as well and can share it if anyone needs. I'll jump on tonight and share them all, you just cant share the livery design once you add them as it locks it.

That's great, and if you would SPEEDY, please explain how to unbundle locked designs for everyone so they can use them. Thanks.

Re: IFCA Series News
That was one of the best most exciting races in a long time guys! That's why this format is so fun!
Out of 8 teams we had 2 teams and all 4 guys battling the last 7 laps together with traffic. What a great finish even though I crashed to avoid a back marker. lol More details, ratings, comments, and possible penalties after we review the replay. But for now, what a great race that was! And what a great start to the season! Nice job everyone!

I'm definitely enjoying this format, very unique. It brings close battles and very fun racing. Looking forward to Round 2 at Sebring, will have to get testing soon. Let's try to get some of those new guys to return for next Saturday's race.

indeed, and let's continue to try to get more drivers. Remember, this format has an added feature for those long on managing and short on driver skill. People can be actual team managers as well as drivers or both. A team manager simply has to field 2 drivers every week. He can't change the car, and can't change the team name, but he can change his drivers and still accumulate points. This too is unique to this format. A team manager might sub out his own position at a certain track where he can field a faster driver than himself for example. Due to this real-life flexibility, heavy emphasis is placed on the team name, where the season points are credited. In this way you could recruit a single fast guy for a single race who would not normally be able to race a whole season, but could contribute to one race.

Daytona recap
Okay then, these are the unofficial results as I have not had the time to analyze the replay just yet. Season points table will be located as a global announced sticky above every page here on the IFCA so you can quickly and easily have a look, along with all the other important related pages.
What a great race other than the one lagout! When a lagout occurs it effectively ends your weekend of racing here in the Continental Tire Series. It happens and is treated just like a mechanical failure in a real race. Just nothin you can do.
You'll notice on the points table teams with red text are the official names, and teams without the red text are my made up unofficial names, until I find out what their real team name is. lol Also notice that each team has 2 official team managers. Team managers do not have to race every weekend. They can sub out any time with anyone in good standing with the IFCA and retain their season points as a team.
As for the race? Wow! That was amazing fun! Team "MOPAR OR NOCAR" took the pole position as expected in their lap record holding Hellcat (1:47.725) with a solid 1:48.404 and winning the bonus point. The second fastest car on the track was Volcano's Aston Martin Vantage but was dirty with a 1:48.880, allowing team TSM in their BMW M4 to slide into second position on the grid with TheyCallMeBubz time of 1:49.841.
GTDon was able to gap SPEEDYJAB's BMW M4 early in the opening laps, but TheyCallMeBubz stayed in touch with the Hellcat of GTDon's teammate Incognito. In fact the BMW team seemed to have a better pit crew and made up huge ground each stop! Sadly ViperGhost lagged out for Volcano ending their effort. Starting the last 7 lap leg of the race team TSM was right there with team MOPAR OR NOCAR, and eventually took the lead finishing 1st and 3rd. But they had some help as GTDon was closing the gap in 4th and then 3rd, he nearly ran over blkghost187's Porsche 911 going into the bus stop on the last lap and crashed into the barrier! He still salvaged 4th place but as a result, lost the season points lead even though he won the fastest lap bonus point with a 1:47.958, the only driver to reach into the 1:47s.
In the end TSM's TheyCallMeBubz would wrestle 1st place from FRB Incognito's Hellcat and claim the overall win in the opener at Daytona, on the last lap. Third place would go to team "No Speak English" of Lanrell21 and Poennaninova in their Mercedes SLS, well done to them!
Great racing out there everyone, and let's see if we can get just a couple more teams to join us.
Next week Sebring

Yes, really a fantastic race including having to pass lapped traffic in the last couple laps. Made it much more like a real race along with no mics. Come to think of it, a cool aspect to this format as a result of no mics, is the bench racing stories after the race is over, and what people were thinking during the race. Everyone wanted to express what was happening from their point of view after the race was over and they could talk about it. This enthusiasm for the post-race review was infectious and not really seen in other formats to this degree.

Yeah, that was a good race and really came down to the final few laps. Thanks to everyone who came out, especially Yankees and stoney who jumped in last minute. I added some pics up and will add some more today, just search IFCA. Looking forward to Sebring!

After reviewing the replay, I have no warnings or penalties to issue. Instead I want to say especially to TomCat job well done! Tom, you really are faster now and did a great job controlling your car this race. Same for Rider, and Cole, and new guy yankee. All of you did well to avoid contact. Nice job.

Oh, and I want to mention how remarkably competitive the cars looked in the replay. Each car had parts of the track that it excelled on and could take advantage of other cars producing a real back and forth fight for everyone. Pretty cool considering everyone was in a different car.
