Thanks everyone! Sorry, the next one won't be for a few weeks, as I am participating in events that celebrates the promotion from Middle School. I'll have more time on break.

A apologize for an unfortunate event that has occured. Someone in my family pulled the external hard drive out of the computer and it corrupted the entire drive. My family is currently working on a way to perhaps recover not only precious family files as well as the entire IFCA Weekly Project.

Are you talking about the title for the bonus content? Please clarify.

Where is the criteria for the world ratings posted I can't seem to find it. I am just trying to understand how it is calculated. Some fast racers seem to have very low rankings so I am confused. Any clairification would be appreciated.

I'll explain it from my point of view:

The way the IFCA is organized and a drivers' performance is measured is through a system which the head of the IFCA, AAR GTDon developed. It is a system based off of your performance in comparison to other drivers' performance, and is measured based off of your finishing position in official IFCA races.

Basically, if you win races, you will have a higher rating than someone who continually finishes last. After 5-10 races, the number will average out based on how you finish in races.

We'd be happy to have you race with us in one of our races, so you can get an official rating and start learning the process.

That's roughly correct Abe. The formula itself took a couple of months to hammer out and is a modified version of the USCF ratings formula is all. It gives us a good idea of just how strong you are based on averages. If you finish behind a lower rated driver, you will lose points, finish ahead of higher rated drivers and you'll gain.

Not everyone on your list races in official races so I still don't understand,
1.why they are so high on the list ?
2.What is the USFC ?
3.What do you mean by " my point of view " ? To me that indicates that you are not sure how it works yourself ABE .

Abe is just helping field your questions and is not part of the creation of the ratings formula, I am. I need to ask you some questions to understand your questions better.

Who are you referring to as "so high on the list", and what list are you referencing? There are two lists to look at. There is the larger old list of nearly 400 drivers which was the original top 40 list now no longer in use. Then there is the IFCA Championship Ratings List of approximately 40 drivers. This is the official list we use for our current drivers.

The USCF is the United States Chess Federation, and we grafted some aspects of their ratings formula to ours.

We've had little to no interest from anyone interested in the details to warrant posting a dediciated thread about it.

The most people want to know is if the formula is performance based or opinion based? It is I assure you exclusively performance based on the numbers i.e., purely a math formula.
