I think you should put VVV Nonni D (still says VMMR) higher on the list. He finished time trials and is 34th overall. I should put him somewhere near me. In my opinion we've about the same skill level.

Hey Don. you might want to keep you eye out for a couple guys. BEO TEAM 4 AUT he has some great stats and beats me all the time. and Tuntakel he has awesome carreer race times and he does'nt cut the track. he is curently in the top 10 in the HLC this week without much effort, and will be running the season. niether speak that much english. but i think both deserve a spot above me.. so how much weight does Time Trials have on the rankings? i went from about a #2400 ranking to top 30 this week. so i should go up a considerable amount right?

It will have the desired effect, but since you are already very high up the list, gains are more difficult. Those that have a good mix of HLC, Hot Lap, TT, and IFCA series podiums will see greater gains, than someone with merely great TTs. In other words, specializing and doing well in one area is not enough, it's good, and it helps, but a more well rounded approach is better.

well not really hotlapping........ just running PT cruisers and U class FWD's everywhere to finish up.........

It will help for sure to have them done.

I just ran 2-5 laps in all TT, went from rank 130,000 to 254...am losing more than a min. at the Ring and King Cobra combined. I just get bored after the 3-4 lap, and get frustrated at every track, when i am up .500+ and lose it.

I prefer to race.

I can never go as fast as i can, when not chasing or being chased by Smoke. and the ghost is just not the same.

Im trying to get myself to run all the classes....not enjoying 1-3 laps in R classes on TT's

this list needs a major update in terms of GT changes, as well as getting rid of V12 gilba, because GSR gilba is his new name. This has been reported many times before, hope someone's on the case

Yeah, it was mentioned in the IFCA Newsletter that a new list would appear this week.

The new list is up! Congrats to daveyskills, again, for retaining the #1 position after such a long stretch!

As you can see the list is a monster that refuses to stay compact. It has grown to the top 250 drivers, even though many were dropped from the list. Many more were forceably added it turns out, and a newer cleaner data mining set was used which no longer includes CGS stats.

It's still not perfect mind you, but it may be the most accurate list to date.

The top 250 best Forza2 drivers in the world according to the IFCA is based on these overall data points:

- Hot Lap
- Time Trials
- T10 HLC
- IFCA sanctioned series podiums
- IFCA Match Race results
- Major tournament performance
- some minor opinion/argue polls.

There are some errors left on the list in terms of activity, identity, or incorrect gamer tags. We hope that before anyone points their flame thrower at us, that you would let us know of any blatant errors you might see.

This has been a pretty big task, but one we think is worth all the trouble if it helps to enhance our enjoyment of the sim-racing hobby, and the people who participate in it.

Seems a little strange, cool that i moved up even though i really haven't done anything with Forza, cuz Race Pro is looming in the distance.

How come AMG Sane is so far ahead of me, and BR1TNEY, cuz we seem evenly matched in terms of Hot Laps, i'm the fastest out of Time Trials, but i don't do HLC. Even so, BR1TNEY does the hotlap challenges, is only a bit behind in Time Trials, yet is almost 80 spots behind? Are all the listed data points weighted evenly or have varying degrees of importance?

Also, AMG SinisteR is no longer a GT, i think he is now TTR Sinister, which is right below him.

The data collected is put together in a loose matrix, and doesn't always come out like one might think. However, each category is not 100% equal either, because you have more examples of one over another. I wouldn't be surprised if there were a few mistakes in rank either. This is a lot of names to research, and you are bound to screw up a couple.

Let's say one driver is 60th in TTs, and 120th in Hot Lap, and let's say someone else is 120th in TT, and 60th in Hot lap. Which one should be ranked higher? But wait, because each has more data points to collect. One guy does a lot of HLC, the other does none, but does do well in series racing. Now who will you go with? It gets pretty complicated and at times highly subjective.

The short answer is, if you think you are better than the drivers above you, then challenge them and take their rank! lol This is part of the reason if not the main reason to attempt a list like this. It's a real chance to sort of, "put your money where your mouth is" in a fair, fun, and friendly way.
