A clean race, with few if any problems other than SP33D's lag out.  Lap time were a little faster this week as whole compared to last week.  Kartz landed the pole with a 2:16.011, and fastest lap with a 2:15.401.  He won the race in the Ferrari GTB which some people find difficult to drive.

Well, I did have a good race with Latte Speed but it turns out that he was in an illegal build.  His 69 Fairlady Z should have been a A662 but was instead a A659.  As a result he was DQ'd from the results.

Due to the low turn out and uncalled for mistake that would have resulted in artificially increasing ratings, this race will not be rated.  GTDon had a brain fart and pitted at the end of 13 instead of 15, while leading the race. With only 6 drivers racing this would have adversely affected the ratings of 2 drivers unnecessarily so.

Other than this, we were having good battles all around. Laps ranged from 1:28.228 to 1:30.994.

In the future, in order to pump up the Wed grid we will be offering 1/2 point participation bonuses to each driver of each team starting next week.  Tell your teammate!

Congrats to KARTz in his Ferrari 365 GTB for the win. Good job to TomCat in his Factory GTO too.  

There was a mishap with TREMEC in that he thought there was a protest going on over his car selection so he didn't know what he should have done because the race had already started.  The reality was that it had nothing to do with him.  It was more to do with the shock of incognito not racing to save his Factory rating from being pushed up to Privateer.

Because of this misunderstanding, TREMEC pulled over to finish last.  However, he will not be included in this race for ratings due to the confusion.  If I did include him everyone's rating would be artificially inflated and some of you would be in a Privateer car for Saturday.  As for Grimp quitting out, he will not be rated either.  Again, it would only serve to boost everyone's rating to include him.

There really wasn't any problem, incog has the right to race or not for whatever reason he wants to use, it's just that we thought he was pulling our leg at first and didn't realize he was serious, --jokester that he is.  So that's good, it's good to see that people are interested in their rating enough to perhaps protect it when they can. It shows that we all do pay attention to it and use it to try to make the most out of our seasonal races.

KARTz set the pole 1:55.427, fastest race lap, and track lap record at a 1:54.775.

Thanks for that Don, some of us truly appreciate the consideration of a falsely inflated race rating. At least I know I do.

You will be missed Lanrell. I apologize to everyone who raced yesterday for my performance, It was all I could do to even finish the last 7 laps, I fought to stay in the race to the end. Hopefully, I will perform better Saturday.

Nice clean race for the most part.  A somewhat easy and surprising win for the Alfa GTA.  2nd went the Javelin of TREMEC and 3rd to the Ferrari 365 of DuneGod who fought each other the whole race. No significant changes to anyone's rating either.

Next week is the all important final @ Laguna Seca!

That was one of the more intense Wed Support races we've had.  Everyone was feeling the pressure from someone and the extra length of the race wasn't helping in this regard either. lol  

The always smug GTDon set the pole in Herbie the love Bug with a 1:34.750, but was having a difficult time repeating the pace during the race as he battled for 3rd place with V8 Vance in her seriously fast Factory Torana.  Tremec had his hands full keeping 2nd place in his mad Miura when late commer V12 Quantum showed up to steal the show and the win with a blisteringly fast 1:33.769 in a MOPAR Dart.

Next Wed we will be at Nurburg GP for the first time in the Season 9 TCM cars.

Yes there will.

This was a practice race of sorts in that it did not carry any participation bonus points.  Next week there will be participation bonus points.
