Cars Grand-Am_ContinentalTire-Series
There are two classes of production based cars to pick from. GS and ST. These cars run on the same tracks at the same time, but are not racing against each class, and have seperate points.

Due to a lot of testing we were able to build the cars in such a way as to mimic their real car counterparts performance. That is to say, they have minimal engine upgrades and maximum handling, with wide sport tires in most cases. Like the real cars in the real series, these are non-downforce cars.

Nearly every car represented in the real Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, is represented here. Like the real series, there are more ST than GS cars to pick from. All the cars were tested to run within 0.10 of a second of each other giving them the level of equality you have grown to expect from an IFCA series. Evenso, each season we will make minor adjustments just as the real series does.

To add to the sense of realism, replica paints from the real series will be required. You may use whatever number you want beit your IFCA number or whatever you may have bought from a storefront locked design. Also, no microphones will be used. (teammates can use private chat)

The Grand Sport (GS) class features large-displacement 6-cylinder or 8-cylinder sports cars as well as small displacement 4-cylinder forced induction sports cars.

The Street Tuner (ST) class is for smaller 4-cylinder or 6-cylinder compact sedans, coupes, or roadsters.

The format is reminiscent of the original Trans-Am Series, combining conventional sports cars and touring cars, though the Trans-Am Series usually had a single driver per car, unlike the Koni series, which has two drivers per car. Some vehicles in the Continental Challenge have actually been painted to resemble the original Trans Am cars, such as the Boss 302 Mustangs of George Follmer and Parnelli Jones or the original Sunoco Camaro.

well just throwing it out there to re-up Don's point.... I own and painted all of the cars for this series and a lot of them do not have official replica paint liveries so you'll either have to make your own or find something else to run... FYI

There was no Race Clutch to begin with. Add the widest Street tires and it should be good.

2013 Boss 302 Mustang build is correct. PI, horsepower, torque, and vehicle weight all match up with build sheet. I had a build that gave the correct PI, but vehicle weight was 7lbs heavier. It turns out that a "sport" driveline was installed. Installing the "race" driveline corrected the discrepancy. All is well.

Thanks to everyone who helped out today and yesterday with testing and advice. Thanks to Corwin, SP33D RAC3R, Kickrocks, posi, MAX RPM, RODMASTERR, Vdubz, sirkane, Cobrajet, and a few more.

I'm really pleased with the results and feedback so far. Just 8 more ST cars to post or so, and we will be done with testing. The cars have proven to be very equal on most of the tracks in the hands of average and even above average drivers. You elite drivers out there will no doubt make a mockery of this alleged equality, but for us regular mortal drivers, we have nothing to worry about. The cars are very close.

Thanks for all the advice and help with the cars everyone, I think this batch is the best ever on several levels. Horsepower wise they are close to the real cars, handling wise the GS cars (mostly on race tires now)are improved. Performance class gap between the two classes is wider in keeping with the real life cars. All the faster ST cars have been slowed down, and all the slower GS car have been speeded up. The cars are more fun to drive, and closer in character to the real cars too. This will be some very close racing my friends.

Depends on the car. Most of the changes were towards less hp especially for the faster cars. Cars like the VW Bora and Subaru went unchanged for example.

WOW! I sure would like to race at the Laguna Seca race, but I'm racing in the VM Stock Hatch on Mondays.
I was at the 2012 Continental Laguna Seca race and it was a blast.
There were a total of 62 cars from both classes racing at the same time. They did 2 parade laps at the start to make sure everyone got lined up.
The race had a lot of cautions that took up a lot of the 2 1/2 hour race time.

I'm planning on going back next September for the Continental race. lol
