So for all of the people out there that like baseball and watch the post-season playoffs and extra hype I have to plug this product for you. It is called OOTP (Out of the Ball Park) 13 (and soon to be 14) because when it comes to simulating real life baseball - this game is the premiere and there is so much logic, stats, strategy, this that and the other - even abe's head would explode upon trying to wrap his brain around it.

The reason I bring this up is the fact that When i first started playing this game series back in 2008 I was a blind Tiger's fan due to where I live. I didn't know much about baseball and I just wanted a game to play while I was on break in class that didn't require a whole lot of requirements to run. This game had already been out for quite awhile and I bought it while it was on sale.

I started my career as a baseball manager playing for the NWL Short Season A league team "Tri-City Dust Devils" affiliated with the Colorado Rockies and worked my way up over the years (still playing my original team on OOTP 13). This game has taught me about setting line ups, bull pens, starting rotation, when to rest players, when to go with guts or instincts over the numbers, and made me really appreciate what it is a baseball manager does.

Also with the new features coming out each edition of the game you can now take part in Rule 5 drafts, Rookie Drafts, FA bidding, trade blocks, etc. To really get the most out of your team, meet the Owner's goals, and enjoy the game to its fullest.

Now the real reason I bring this up... This game has made me love the SF Giants because I know the players on the roster and now get to see them work in real life ever since I started following them somewhere just before the 2009 spring training porting of the season. After watching them progress on my game and in real life I made the blind assumption that 1) The Tigers after signing Prince Fielder would go to the World Series and 2) The Giants with their young talent and outstanding pitching and defense will also made it to the World Series.

well both teams have defied odds and made it to the first game of bot the NLCS and ALCS and the way they are playing I find it hard to believe they both won't make it to the next round.

So what does this mean for the product I am reviewing? The math, the rating systems, and stats being accurate are so realistic you would think it was scripted based off the out comes of real life play. That is assuming you make good lineups, rotations, bullpen assignments, and play the players in a way that they will be at their peak year round.

This game is well worth the cost.

Glad to see that his head does not touch the ground, but it is weird that his car rolled in the first place. Tough luck for the Deltawingers.

Well everyone it's been a long year of trials and tribulations in the MLB. At the beginning of the year in the "End of the World" post that I put up forever ago - I am 1 for 1 on my world series picks right now and if i the giants go I will be 2-2.

I watch a lot of baseball, I know more than the average fan, I understand theories and numbers but this was just a gut feeling this time and while im not perfect so far i've been right over 162+ games.

So lets see if the Giants make it and how good my luck really is!

Well boys after 162 games played this season my predictions were 100% accurate as to who would make it to the World Series!!!! The Giants and the Tigers are going to faceoff at the NL hosted AT&T Park hosted by the San Francisco Giants. Being a major fan of both teams It is nice to know that I can't lose but it is time for my world series predictions...

The Giants will win it in game 6.

Verlander, Fister, and Scherzer will all get wins. But the the trick here is that none of them swing the bat very often in the year, and with the Giants pitchers scoring a hit in almost every game in the last 2 series it makes you wonder if they will continue to add productive at bats for the positional players.

I predict Sandoval will continue his post season hitting streak 3 more games and that Vogelson, Zito, and Cain will take it to game 6. I also predict that the final game 6 or 7 will come down to a bullpen battle that may go into extra innings.

The Giants won in 2010 and the Tigers have made it to the post season several times since their 2006 World Series run. So lets see if my luck will continue

for now I am 2-2 in my picks! Go Giants & Tigers!!!!

Well folks I did not get the predictions anywhere close but I got the Giants as Winners and they won the Series on a 4 game sweep so that is good enough for me!

GO GIANTS!!!!!

Well I needed a nice computer for work because I do a lot of constant streaming of my desktop to other people that I am interning with and talking to via skype and other software such as any generic desktop screen cap which you see on justin.tv and twitchtv etc.

But I have been collecting games over the years that I can now play thanks to my computer's generous build which I have been enjoying on my downtime for spring break between hockey games.

Action/Adventure/RPG
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2

Shooters
HALO 1
Far Cry
Far Cry 2
Battlefield Bad Company
Battlefield Bad Company 2 (with mods)
Battlefield 2
Star Wars: Dark Forces
Star Wars: Dark Forces 2
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon (all expansions)
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon 2 (game sucked)
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2
Tom Clancy's Future Soldier
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 2 (all expansions)
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3 (all expansions)
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Lock Down (this game sucked bad)
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 1
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 (didn't like it but it got decent reviews)
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell 1 (i want to get the rest but I got bills to pay lol)
Doom
Doom 2

Horror/"Scary"

Fear 1
Fear 2
Fear 3
Deadspace 1
Deadspace 2
(not sure if im going to get DS3 it was a good run so far Very Happy)

Simulation Racing/Other
F1 2010
F1 2011
F1 2012GTR
GTR
GTR 2
iRacing (I love it, but the community is not for me, will be cancelling my contract at the end of next year - was worth the experience though it was door opening in the world of racing)
Race 07 (with all the mods listened in my simbin bundle thread)
Train Simulator 2013 (i love trains, idk why)

Strategy/Puzzle
Omerta: City of Gangsters (this game is awesome!)
Portal 1
Portal 2
(thinking about getting WARP soon, it's only $10)
Sim City
Sim City 2000
Sim City 3000 Unlimited
SIm City 4: Gold Edition
Sim City Societies
I pre-ordered the relaunch of Sim City for my brother last night but I will probably play it if it is good.

There are more games laying around I just have to dig them up, i used to be a big time PC gamer when I was little. I played Rainbow Six 3 and Ghost Recon competitively on TWL and was one of the top ranked players in the US in 1v1 ladder match brackets for almost a year. My clan at the time SST (SouthSideTribe) was ranked 2nd in 2v2, 1st in 3v3, and 1st in 4v4... I just recently started playing all of these games again. The problem now is figuring out what to play with such limited time away from work and school. Plus i still have to practice for the 12 Hours of Sebring, and IFCA racing events!

And I thought I had too many Xbox games (around 15)...

I used to play Microsoft Train Simulator for hours on end when I was like 5-9 years old (before I new the concept of racing a car). The strategy of having to follow certain railroading rules made it interesting.

lala YA!!!! looks great!!!

I am really hoping for this year's Delta Wing series. I don't particularly love the car but it is one of those triumphs in auto-racing history that says that we don't have to stick to the modern car's shape, size, and aero-package to have a race and I really hope that it contiues to put up good results as it did last year despite all of its troubles.

For Example

Good Luck Deltawing! Drive On!

Hey guys, it's been a good run but at the end of July my xbox live membership will run out and since I am going to my brothers wedding in august, starting school up for the last semester until i graduate and due  to some personal health issues i will not be getting the new xbox and it is very likely that the TORA 24 Heures Du Mans will be my last race under the AAR badge or racing under the IFCA organization.

If any of you guys have iRacing you can look me up there. I made the choice of building a gaming rig to try this servicec out back during my christmas break because my cousin was gonna try it out as well and he ended up not staying with them. I got half a year on my contract there so if you wanna race look me up. Other than that once that contract goes I will probably rest the ole racing boots and get my career going because by that time I will be a college graduate of 6 almost 7 years and ready to do something meaningful with my life.
