Greetings to you all! After a long period of reflection, and introspection over the course of events during the past year, it has finally come time to begin anew. We have wiped the slate clean and are starting from scratch in anticipation of the best version of Forza to come. No easy decisions were made for how we at the IFCA might continue on, only that we would continue.

Several areas of concern were heavily analyzed and revamped to more properly fit our new character for the 2012 season. First let me say with some humor, “this ain’t gonna be your father’s IFCA.” The IFCA of the future is setting a course that will attempt to make itself more relevant to sim-racers so that it may garner more prestige, and continue to cut a path of innovation unique to its assessment of the sim-racing world. We know that this will be difficult considering how we let so many people down in the past. We understand some were unduly hurt, and we are sorry for that. At the same time, I think all will agree we should do our best to turn our lemons into lemonade and try to move on as a positive force.

It should be made clear that we at the IFCA wish every racing organization well. Whether you are a small club, or a large league. Whether you are into Gran Turismo, F1, or iRacing, we hold no bias or grudge. Whether you are competing in ISRA, TOCA, VM, FMC, etc., we support you and all your club affiliations including but not limited to EZT, VVV, GLR, F4H,TRC, PpR, V12, EMW, and AAR.

Beyond the “Rules of the Road” to insure fair and clean racing, we have no restrictions on who races or where they may race. All are free to participate and come and go as they please without judgment or the questioning of ones loyalties. And though we may cover all those in sim-racing (whether they like us to or not), we ourselves are primarily a Forza oriented site. We also have no prejudice or discrimination between what a racer is, and what a hot lapper is. All are equally welcome here, and we will cater to both. The same goes for all the supporting activities such as painting, photos, tuners, drifters, drag racers, dealers, and the casual player.

The IFCA is dedicated to the promotion of all motor sports both real and simulated. Simply put, we are in support of every other racing organization that promotes motor sports.

Special thanks has to go out to our true benefactor, creator of the best racing game in the world, Mr. Dan Greenawalt and his latest team at, “Turn10.”

Moving forward what you can expect from the new IFCA is fewer events but with more seasons and closer racing. The events themselves will more closely emulate many of your favorite real world counterpart series. They will be less complicated and more standardized for ease of participation, and quicker turnaround times start to finish.

Unique to the IFCA in 2012 will be a special performance rating system for each participant in an Officially Sanctioned Race. Your OSR rating will give you some indication of where your skill level is at relative to all the other IFCA competitors, and allow you to climb a ladder to the top to be included in an end of the year finale.

In the weeks to come as FM4 is released you can expect to see minor changes to the site to reflect our new beginning starting with a general cleanup and new look. Official events will be announced after the release of FM4 once everyone has had some time with the new game and we get a chance to re-introduce the IFCA to all the new people new to Forza.

In the mean time sit back, relax, and enjoy your favorite game with us. We have better days ahead. The racing has only just begun.

Just a small FYI, we are almost done working out the ratings formula for Officially Sanctioned Races. We are quite pleased with the results and feel it will be highly accurate. The rating formula will be an integrated part of not only the IFCA, but perhaps outside series as well.

Yeah, me too eries. lol Well, I will be looking for some racers next week to help guage our new rating system which is now complete. We need to run 4 short races of say 10 laps in identical cars to see how accurate it is. This will enable us to see if we got it right we hope.

As one of the not so few in number "original veteran players" going all the way back to FM1, and co-author of the Official FM3 Game Guide by Prima Games, I can say with great confidence FM4 is easily the very best Forza yet. This is what Forza should have always been from the beginning. It has come full circle and along the way collected all the best features from the past and wrapped them into a truly great and complete car simulation experience. Well done Turn 10, you finally nailed it, and knocked this one right out of the park! Like Carly Simon sings, "Nobody does it better, Makes me feel sad for the rest, Nobody does it half as good as you Baby, you're the best."

Well, so far so good. The powers that be in league racing have tentatively agreed to pursue a possible unification championship league race between all the more well known leagues in Forza. This would be a first for organized Forza racing and something that would bring everyone together for a change.

ISRA, SimRacer's, FMC, TORA, and RWS, and others are interested. Talks are now underway about what car and track to use. With any luck, and politics aside, there could be a mega league race sometime in 2012!

I'll try to keep everyone posted on the progress as I am able or allowed to do...

Attention all you ALMS fans out there, be sure to check out our version of the series, https://ifca.forumotion.com/f279-pro-endurance-series-2-open the only FM4 version that allows for the changing of drivers in a true team format just like the real ALMS.

In the future, we will probably combine the Grand Am series with the ALMS Endurance series bringing the format more in-line with the real ALMS by having 2 or 3 classes on the track at the same time.

But for now we just want drivers to sample the series in a more simple form first. So, go over the to the thread and post a time with one of the 4 R3 cars offered at my storefront. If you can't post a time, send it to me GTDon@msn.com
