corwinMB Blog
I was driving around on my way to meet a few friends from my church up at a bar in town and i saw a bunch of classic cars parked so i stopped and took some pics (some in which Don has already seen) but I figured some of the older guys, and maybe some of the younger, can appreciate these old timers.
There is a big car show coming up in about 9 days, its by no means anywhere near as big as the one Don went to earlier this year (see his blog) but I will be taking more pictures and meeting the owners there for a couple hours of talking cars and respecting the legends that have evolved to what we all know and love today.
Well as you all know ABEnstein and myself are both taking part in the TORA ISCC this season. Abe is running in the P2 HPD Lola and I am in the P1 Acura ARX-02a which got us an overall top 10 finish in the TORA 24hr Le Mans. While I am slightly off pace it is comforting to know that my times are realistic and on par with the great Allan McNish when he ran a 1:48:3xx at Sebring in the first hour of the 2012 race.
I am hoping we can get enough well rounded members by December for the 24 HR (laps) of Nurburgring, the next Brit Car endurance cup, and of course the TORA 12 hours of Sebring. I may not be the fastest driver but I feel a slight comfort in endurance racing knowing that the win is more about being smart.

You know what? I am not entirely sure, maybe Oneshot, Don, or Dale would know, the problem with a lot of the cars there is that a lot of the markings were either gone or possibly were never on the car like we see on modern cars. I will ask if I see it at the car show 5 days from now

Re: corwinMB Blog
Looks like a 1933 Ford Abe. Many of the cars appear to be "street rods" with cosmetic modifications such as shaved door handles and the removal of emblems.
I will be going to the next biggest car show of the season this Friday myself. The Car Craft Summer Nationals at the MN State Fairgrounds. This show is mostly 60's muscle cars but is open to late models as well. It should see about 8,000 cars on display. Though slightly smaller than the Back to the 50's car show, the crowd is younger and more prone to being "above the law." lol

Re: corwinMB Blog
Good to know. Thanks Don.
I went to La Jolla, Ca, on vacation this weekend, and there were some interesting cars being driven around there. I have some pictures:
The best cars I saw were a Ferrari 430 and a Lamborghini. I saw both of these twice, but I didn't have my camera on me at the time when I saw the Ferrari.
I did take photos of some other notable cars...
1. Porsche Panamera S
2. BMW Z3
3. A Corvette C5 (with some nice flames)
And suddenly this has become a "You saw what? Where?" blog.

Re: corwinMB Blog
So the car show I went to today was a total bust. Out of the expected 120 cars they were expecting they were lucky if they even got 60. Most of them were 1990's or newer corvettes and mustangs, however there was a wide variety of vintage Ford's as well. By far the two best show cars there were the Shelby Cobra which featured blue paint and a yellow strip on the left from tire, and the 1990s Ferrari Testa Rosa.
I will put up some selected pictures later on, but most of them that I took are nothing worth sharing.

Just humor me... I think its doodoo that Don can't race with us because of stupid doodoo like this

Re: corwinMB Blog
It's just strange that it only happens on Sundays tho. I told him to unplug everything from the wall and do a system-wide rebooty, but i dont know if he tried.

Re: corwinMB Blog
It's not on my end. There are strange messages and incorrect routing in the user interface too, that doesn't have anything to do with me. For example, it said I was in a party lobby when I wasn't, and it said dale and sirkane were too, when they weren't.

Yeah.....just sick of it.....and honestly I am starting to think its not going to get any better as long as turn 10 keeps trying to put their efforts into forza horizons and future forza games, ive seen it in other games such as medal of honor, ghost recon, etc. where they start working on new projects sand the game that is already out suffers. Not to mention max and others are paranoid about hackers, seems like everyday people are hunting for glitches in every game on the market so they can make money off of it or ruin someone elses day.... Its just frustrating

Re: corwinMB Blog
Just wanted to let you all know that I may be getting a part time job with the Plymouth Whalers hockey team working home games Friday and Saturday nights as an intern. My duties will be helping set up, supervise, and close down autograph sessions, hang out with the mascot at children's hospitals and fan day outtings, helping escort fans on locker room days, on ice competitions and games, and other PR/Marketing activities.
Since it is on Friday and Saturdays once the hockey season starts I won't be able to race in the Glory Days Or the World Cup 2 series AND i might miss the end of the year competition if we start training and other things of that nature before the season. Just giving everyone a heads up!

Re: corwinMB Blog
Well as we all know the end of the IFCA calender year is almost complete and we are left with many questions... Where do we go next? What will we expect in 2013? Did I get all that I wanted to acomplished? Did I improve on my skill?...and things of that nature.
Well there are many questions and many answers that are yet to come as the IFCA staff transition us all to the new year.
But one thing I do know... We will have touring cars, we will have a manufacturers cup, and we will have teams competing in heated rivalries.
2013 IFCA Touring Cup Championship
General Information
Hello IFCA racing fans and welcome to a new and exciting year of Touring Car racing at it's finest. The IFCA TTCC is a A class series that will feature some of the most popular cars and manufacturers from all over the world including the FIA WTCC, BTCC, and SCCA.
The first race will start us off with the "annual" 24 Hours of Daytona (24 Laps) kicking off the Championship, this will transition us into the standard 4 race series.
Rules/Regulations
-We will follow the standard IFCA rules and regulations as of 2012 and 2013 (if anything changes)
-Car builds may not be altered
-Car tuning is allowed
-Each car must make 1 mandatory pitstop after the first lap (pace lap) and before the last lap.
-Driver's can enter as Privateers or can compete in the Team Cup by pairing up with 1 other driver.
Season Scoring
Driver Cup Points will be determined by overall driver position at the end of the race using the Standard IFCA point scale.
Manfacturer's Cup Points will be determined by the combination of the top 5 drivers driving the same car. (i.e. Ford 1st Place + Ford 3rd Place + Ford 5th Place = X Ford points)
Team Cup points are added up by a combination of Driver Cup Points.
Qualifying Procedure
There will be a 3 lap qualifying period before the Daytona 24 in which teams and privateers will share a track. There will be a 3 sec delay between each car. The winner of the Daytona 24 will be the pole sitter for the next race and likewise for the following drivers.
CAR LIST
2013 Ford Focus ST
2007 Hond Civic Type-R
2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo
2010 Mitsubishi Colt Ralliart
2007 Puegeot 206
2010 Renault Megane
2010 SEAT Leon Cupra R
2011 Suzuki SX4
2006 Vauxhall Astra VXR
2010 Volkswagen Golf GTI Mk6
*** If you would like to help me test the cars I will put the builds up on my store front once the series end for the season and the championship starts to wrap up ***
Further information will come soon! Testing will begin in a week or two and then will close until the beginning of IFCA TCC once cars are deteremined to be legit, fair, and ready to drive.

wow glad to see such support of the format in only the early days of development. I have added most of the cars to my store front please leave feedback and note that some cars are harder to drive them other. Some of the cars took almost 20 laps to get the times I was looking for personally but as i said be fore faster drivers might get totally uneven results as a result to their own personal skill.
Thanks so much for the support
