Ooops! My bad, there is one more race after tonight's race at Homestead.
The final race with the Mustang will be next week at Daytona RC. Then, it has been decided that since a lot of people voted for the Ginetta G40 Jr. to be used over in the IFCA Driver Showdown why not use it for the the next Spec Kings car? And I agree it is one of those good spec cars to try bone stock.

New Spec Kings Season begins this Wed!
New season starting this Wed night 8pm CST, with the fun little stock Ginetta G40 Jr. E300, as being the car of choice this time.
First up, Watkins Glen for 15laps. Word to the wise, you can add a sport flywheel and it will still remain a E300. What does a sport flywheel gain you? Probably not more than 0.05sec. But it is there if you want it.

Fantastic race! Multiple lead changes all the way to the last turn of the last lap! This is an ideal Spec car. You guys owe it to yourself to come race with us Wed nights for some seriously great racing!
We will return to Watkins Glen next Wed for another incredible race next week!

I will open a warmup lobby at 7pm CST tonight for the 8pm race. Should you have the time you owe it to yourself to come race with us in the stock Ginetta G40 at Watkins Glen! It was a fantastic back and forth clean racing fight last Wed and will no doubt be the same tonight. So come join my lobby and get ready for some very close racing.

Race review
Hey guys, thanks for all the support for our Wed Spec Kings yesterday, we had a great turn out and a great race! We had a wide range of drivers with 16 on the grid. The top 8 were only separated by 1sec in terms of lap times. The leaders again swapped the lead multiple times making the race all about strategy and timing because the draft was not going to allow anyone to break away. GTDon eventually won by only 0.253sec over RP Johnathon, after 36min of racing! (including penalties). It was that close!
We will return one more time to Watkins Glen next Wed as we sync up with the schedule for the opening round of our Season 5 Super Spec on Saturday the 24th 6pm CST. Next Wed we will start to record average finishing orders for the next 6 races in the Ginetta.
Great racing everyone and we hope everyone can return next week for another ultra close race!

Race review
Good race, almost. That is, it was a great race for the leaders up until about lap 11 when 2 of the 3 leaders collided in the bus stop going 3 wide! Because GTDon backed out of the corner to allow the other two drivers Yensiff a multi-time winner of this event, and Sienkoi of Grass Roots Racing elite driver to make the turn, GTDon was rewarded with the lead as the other two came to blows and practically crashed out of the race. Yensiff would finish 2nd, but Sienkoi dropped to 4th due to penalties allowing his league mate FreyRacer56 to podium 3rd.
Before anyone gets the wrong idea, these are very good drivers, and this wasn't a case of hard banging or dirty stunts like bump to pass, dive bombs, crowding, blocking, or anything like that. Which isn't to say there weren't moments of contact either. It just happened that two skilled drivers tried to occupy the same space at the same time is all. We'd probably call it a racing incident were this our regular Saturday series. Unfortunate.
I do want to reaffirm that Wed nights are not to be taken too seriously. We don't have points, we don't review the race replay, and we don't issue penalties. It's okay to ease up in the name of safe driving rather than try to pinch a guy in a corner for example. Spec Kings is supposed to be JFF (Just For Fun) and an introduction to IFCA racing should you decide to run in our official regular season events.
The Golden Rule here at the IFCA which goes all the way back to the beginning in FM1 is, if someone leaves the racing surface due to contact you should wait for them to recover their position whether you think it is your fault or not. Otherwise, you risk compounding your penalty if it is determined that it was indeed your fault. This doesn't mean that you have to come to a stop. It means that you will need to slow down as they speed up to catch you and take their place in front of you before a lap is completed from the point of contact.
The Golden Rule has served the IFCA well over the years. It reduces hard feelings for one, and it lets the Race Directors decide who's actually at fault for better rulings. It's just good sportsmanship too. Everyone makes mistakes. It's not always careless driving.
So try to keep these things in mind and that way we can all have a good time. The replay of this race is shared, search IFCA Spec Kings.

Race review
Truly a great race with such a small grid! Really hard to shake a guy off your tail with this car. After 17laps Yensiff takes the lead with 2laps to go and pulls off the win by a mere 0.249sec! Fantastic race with hardly a scratch between us the whole way, just amazing racing. Well done! Jonathon would have been there too had he not gone off.

Another barn burner of a race! Too bad that contact did happen on the second to the last lap taking GTDon and Jonathon almost out of the race. (Thanks GT) But we will return to Road Atlanta next week. So come on back everyone! It ain't over yet!
