IFCA Trans Am Championship Format
IFCA Trans Am Championship Format
6 regular season races followed by 3 Wild Card races. Top 6 teams compete in the 10th and final race for the championship. The championship round (10th race) is a double bonus round, all points and bonuses are doubled.
Wild card teams are those teams outside the top 5 teams in regular season points. The Wild Card teams will have a separate Wild Card points table based on the season points table. But, they will be starting from 0 points. The points they earn in the post season will then be added to their regular season points. This means that 1 team out of the remaining 7 will make it in the final based on Wild Card points alone. Once in the final their regular season points are then applied to their Wild Card points so that they have a full chance to win the championship which is a double points round.
Weekly Practice Leaderboard
Offered bonuses:
Track lap record/pole =2pt
2 = 1.5pts
3-8 = 1pt
9-24 = .5pt
25-48 = .25pts
Beginning Mon Nov 13th I will have an open practice lobby from approximately 8pm to midnight CST Mon-Thur until everyone is rated. We will also have a mock practice race every Wed night 8pm CST starting Dec 6th.
Cut off to produce your best practice lap each week is Friday 6pm CST. You can use any of the 3 cars offered.
Qualifying
You are allowed to use any of the 3 cars offered to qualify, but you have to use your qualifying car to race.
Qualifying will now be based on the weekly IFCA practice leaderboard. All times must come from Rivals. Unfortunately, times that come from multiplayer and/or Free Play, do not discriminate between dirty and clean laps at this time. If you can not post a Rivals time, you will have to send GTDon2 a screen capture of your best Rivals time no later than Friday 6pm CST each week.
The top 24 practice lap drivers go to A-lobby grid, and 25-48 go to B-lobby grid. The B-lobby qualifying leader will conduct the race for the B-Lobby.
Race
Actual start time is 6pm CST. 6 regular season races, 3 post season races, 1 championship race. Only the top 3 drivers in a team are counted for team points. You are allowed to change cars after each race.
Team members will be in their own private parties during the race.
The start will be an F1 style start. You will do a formation lap based on your practice leaderboard qualifying time grid position. Everyone will get in their correct order as they make their way around the track and return to their correct grid position for a standing start. The green flag drops automatically when the total time clock reaches 6:00min. Do not jump the start. (The reason for this style of start is that we have no option in the game to set the grid manually. This qualifying and start style will also be easier to do with 2 full lobbies.)
Simulation fuel and tires.
FRR Full Penalty.
Race lengths will be approximately 55mins long. For the first race at Road America there is no mandatory pit stop. In game race time starting at in the morning (within the game timer x10). Actual start time is 6pm CST.
Weather conditions will be random.
Dynamic rubber on 0%
Any assists are allowed.
No mandatory pits.
End race timer set to 10min.
Clean driver bonus .25pt
The winner of the B-lobby will gain equal points to 6th place in the A-lobby. 2nd place in the B-lobby will be equal to 7th in the A-lobby. 3rd place in the B-lobby will be the same as 8th place in the A-lobby.

Practice laps
Beginning Mon Nov 13th I will have an open practice lobby from approximately 8pm to midnight CST Mon-Thur, and on Friday from 4pm to 6pm CST. ZAR Eries can occasionally be seen during the week starting around 2pm CST to about 4pm CST. Everyone will have to join our practice lobbies at one time or another to set a legitimate practice lap time. We can not use the Rivals leaderboard as there is no provision to set grip handicaps.

Yes, this is correct. However there seems to be some issue with Free Play and multiplayer submissions still. We are checking into this.

Please tell all your team members to re-read through the new format rules. We had to make several procedural changes once we realized the games restrictions, limitations, and omissions.
