Race length is always posted at the bottom of the practice leaderboard.  It is 21laps

Not quite the poopy show that was predicted, but, there were a few over enthusiastic moments of contact, so let's get all the penalties out of the way first.  

Let's start with livery compliance. But before I begin I want to praise and compliment Team WC1, Flavored Atoms, and MINDxFUNERAL for perfect livery compliance. Well done!

Team Blue's PipCentral should have been in a blue car without a black hood.  Generic teams are not allowed to have blacked out hoods.  This is a team penalty affecting team reputation rating -1pt. Team Blue was also unable to field a full 3 man team which is also a team penalty of -1pt.  This brings Team Blue down from a A+ rating, to an A- Rating.  Generic teams that are having trouble functioning as a team will be redistributed within the generic team system for the next race.

Team Division 1 did not display their team name on all 4 sides of their cars.  This is a team penalty -1pt.  Team Division 1 drivers also had some contact that effects their team rating and reputation. Nova's unsafe return to the racing surface and EarnedCarrot's contact with Stimker is a -2pt team deduction thus bringing team Division 1 down from an A+ rating to a B+ Team Rating.

GoSox did chop down on nova in turn 4 of the first lap and earns a warning/strike. A lap later GoSox dives into Nova knocking Nova off the track.  Nova unsafely returned to the racing surface only to hit Sox.  Sox earns a warning/strike and Nova also earn a warning/strike. Team Tailwind Racing get a -1pt team rating deduction for the contact and -1pt team rating deduction for not fiedling a full 3 man team. droping them from a A+ to an A- reputation rating.

As earlier noted EarnedCarrot did knock Stimker off the track who loses -5 positions, and earns a warning/strike and -1pt driver penalty. Stimker is compensated +1.25pts

RICE hits EarnedCarrot off the track and earns a warning/strike a -1pt driver penalty and -1pt team penalty for Team Penske II.

Team Red did not show up earning a -1pt team penalty.

Team Blue did not field a full 3 man team earning a -1pt team penalty.

Team Green did not field a full 3 man team earning a -1pt team penalty.

Team Orange did not show up earning a -1pt team penalty.

Okay, with all the ugly out of the way, big congrats to D1mein running in a Gold level Lola for taking the pole (2:16.184), track lap record (2:15.253), and win!  Well done!  One of our rare Gold winners to date.  In 2nd place was PipCentral in a Silver level Lola, and 3rd on the podium was WhiskeySix1 in a Gold level Lola.

Again, congrats to D1mein for capturing his first IFCA "Spec Kings" crown! 

On the team side, congrats to Team WC1 for winning their first IFCA "Spec Kings" team championship and joining Team Penske I as team champions!

FYI, Each race will offer teams a chance to regain any lost team reputation points from the previous week. Do everything right as a team and your A+ ratings will be restored. Legal liveries, field a full team, and have no contact penalties will get you back into the A rating.

(It's important to note that because the IFCA has moved its focus and priorities more toward team competition, drivers should keep in mind that when they commit to driving for a team and then decide not to show up, it doesn't just affect them, it effects an entire team of guys.  So, if you can't really commit, then just say so.  If you can't show up, at least let your team know and help them find a substitute.  

Look, being on a team is just that, you have to be a team player and help coordinate team activities and work as a team to help the team get across the finish line if not up on the podium.  So please try to make an effort to talk to your designated teammates during the week.  Practice a few laps with them, and strategize with them.  It makes a huge winning difference.  Teams that behave as teams become successful, teams that don't, don't.)

I might be out of the loop. I thought I was complying with the livery requirements described in the portal, "Team livery requirements will be simplified to black hoods, ifca.forumotion.com URL on all 4 sides, and the name of the team on both sides of the car. ANY number plates will do, but, you do have to have a number plate. "

Yeah, the portal page is usually the very first announcement of a new season and is actually the IFCA Newsletter.  So what happens is, info tends to evolve on the main information page while the portal page doesn't get updated all the time.

But to be clear (and this was stated on more than one page) Generic teams need to use the color of their team name, if on Team Blue for example, then your car color should be predominantly blue.  Blacked out hoods are reserved for the regular IFCA teams. All cars have to have #s and the IFCA URL on all 4 sides.  And that's it.
