It may be dawning on some of you by now that "Spec Kings" is as much about the team competition or more, than the individual title. This is because each "Spec Kings" race is a one-off single event, which means there are no series points. You are either going to win the title "Spec King" or you are not at each race. This lays the greater more wide spread competition in the laps of the teams.
Teams can help all individual drivers of a team gain more points than if they were a single unaffiliated driver. Which means that a team driver has more points gaining opportunities than a none team driver. Also, team drivers can contribute to the overall team victory even if their teammate is not the individual "Spec Kings" title winner.
So, unlike series racing were you have many races to accumulate individual points, "Spec Kings" is more of a all or nothing affair, except for the team points. This shifts the emphasis toward the team aspect of competing.
If you are not on a team and want to earn maximum individual points, and help a team win, you should apply at WC1 Motorsports, Tailwind Racing, or Team Penske and see if they have an opening or if they want to start a secondary team as Team Penske has already done.
Creating teams and establishing them will be an ongoing pursuit here at the IFCA. We want to nurture and support team development and team competition as much or more than individual achievement. In this way we can continue to include every driver in the action and activities associated with competing regardless of their skill level.

Just a little teaser here about IFCA Teams, we are working on ways to make teams a more attractive and sustainable feature in the future. We are considering a type of reward system based on team reputation and participation that will have an effect on individual members both in terms of series points and what happens at the IFCA. We are playing with the idea of giving teams in good standing with the IFCA a say at the table.

Okay, just a reminder to everyone, you may use a car class that is higher than your rating if you want. Eries and BULLET both want to use a higher class. Eries wants to be on a par with Chevy, and BULLET says he can run a Gold car better than a Silver for unknown reasons. So be it.

Good race all, apart from maybe an incident or two seems everyone did very well.
Chevy you did well with the wheel, keep at it. I had a mission today, and it is done now, so in my eyes it is a closed chapter.

Great racing everyone!
Yes, we were minus a lot of new drivers, but this often happens at the start of a new format. Especially with a time zone change.
There were some brushes of contact for sure but not too forceful from what we could see. The racing was really hard fought up and down the grid order.
Team Penske was the heavy favorite fielding two teams and having two of the fastest D-Class drivers in all of Forza behind the wheel. Team Penske I Gold driver GTDon set the track lap record on the practice leaderboard at 1:16.830 barely in front of Team Penske II Bronze Driver ITS Wi11iE with a 1:16.848. But it would be Wi11iE taking the fast lap and the win by a mere car length over GTDon with a 1:16.993. Margin of victory after 35laps, one and a half tenths of a second! (0.159)
Some have asked why Wi11iE was in a Bronze car to begin with when he performed at a Gold level? This was because of the prior policy of including lag outs in the ratings which tanked his rating. We no longer do this.
Team Penske I's ZAR Eries landed 3rd on the podium in his Platinum build with a best lap of 1:17.378 beating 4th place rival Platinum driver RIOT ChevyPower from WC1 Motorsports, with a best lap of 1:17.493.
The first "Spec Kings" team title goes to Team Penske I with a total of 66 team points. 2nd was MC1 Motorsports with 63 team points, and 3rd was Team Penske II with 60 team points.
As for penalties, we would normally be handing out a lot of non-contact penalties this round for livery non-compliance, but, it was predetermined that we would not do this until the second round with the Lola @ Spa. Just to make note of the violations, some drivers had tinted windows, some drivers had no livery at all, some teams had no team livery. WC1 Motorsports cars were all black but had not matching designs. Team Penske I and II, and Tailwind Racing were the only ones in compliance.
As a result, we are going to adjust the livery requirements and will enforce them for Spa. If you are on one of the generic teams with a color name of Red Blue Green Orange or Purple, then your car should be the color of your team. All you need to add is the IFCA URL on all 4 sides, and the # plate on all 4 sides. Black hoods are not permitted for the generic teams.
If you are on a regular IFCA team your livery design should match your teammates cars even if the colors are different. That is, the layout of the design should be recognizably similar to each other. You need a black hood, the IFCA URL on all 4 sides, your # plate on all 4 sides, and the name of the team on all 4 sides.
Livery non-compliance will go against the team as well as the individual driver. This will effect the teams A+ rating. Drop below an A rating and you lose your place at the table for the next IFCA meeting. Currently, every team still has a A+ rating. The next Official IFCA meeting will be Sunday April 2nd at 1:00pm EST.
There were no significant points of contact on the replay to penalize. The controversy between paddy and Sox can not be properly judged because it happened after the replay ended. However, it is a rare incident that needs to be addressed during the Official IFCA meeting. The issue of, should careless or reckless drivers be penalized for causing an accident via crashing by themselves?
We will re-sort the generic teams in order to fill them up so that they are viable teams for Spa. If you are on a generic team don't be afraid to speak up and reach out to the other teams to join them or to form your own team. To form a regular IFCA team all you need is a name and 3 drivers.
Congrats to ITS Wi11iE for becoming our first "Spec Kings" Champion, and to Team Penske I for becoming our first "Spec Kings" team Champions!
