Re: Series Race Talk
This new series has been met with wild approval and a ton of people are picking up the cars from my storefront! Seems that wrestling heavy iron around the tracks is what everyone is in the mood for these days. But keep in mind that the "little" cars, --the 2.0L class, should be respected out there by the big boys. They are as fast or faster in the corners, and will eat you alive in the hands of a Semi-Pro or Pro driver. But this was intentional. Back in the day the same was true. On smaller tighter tracks, the little cars would occasionally set the fast lap! It isn't until the tracks open up with some longer straights that the Pony cars show their tails.
As for season 2 there will be some minor changes to bring the cars into greater equality, so don't be in a rush to set your heart on some car you think will be an easy winner from season 1. Season 2 will only see the cars get closer together.
In season 2 we will adjust the P.I. difference on the privateer builds so that the factory builds have a more noticeable and proper advantage. Typically the factory backed efforts had blank checks to buy or create any higher performance part they wanted, making it very hard for a low budget privateer to win, and we intend to re-create this sort of challenge for our series too.

Nothing says PRIVATEER like sponsorship from a tavern.
Mostly I am happy to have successfully loaded a photo after a fair amount of tinkering. The stubborn man can't be held down!

Re: Series Race Talk
Sunday is my day of the week to sleep in, related note: Saturday is the night to stay up late. the old man eyes read my clock to say 8:06. I had the o6 part accurate, it was 906. Bare feet have good traction on the pedal base. And I was somewhat surprised to make qualifying.
Viewing Nelly's replay showed some good racing. Good job to all.

The season2 privateer cars are up on my storefront now. Should you wish to be a factory driver send me a note and which car, and I will send you the factory build. You must have at least 1000 GP Points (10 rated races) under your belt to be a factory driver.

season 2 quick notes
Okay, thanks to Nelly we discovered that the VW Ghia was a little too fast and has now been properly adjusted. Good thing no one used it in the first season, damn thing was stupid fast.
All the cars are quite a bit more in-line with each other now, and should make for some very exciting close racing. The Factory cars seem to have that little extra squirt over their Privateer counter parts. Nevertheless, don't let that fool you, a fast Privateer can overtake a slow Factory driver even though the Factory boys have 5 more P.I. this coming season.
All the Privateer cars have been adjusted and some of the Factory cars too, like the Fairlane and the Cougar, which were a little too fast for the field. The Toyota 2000 and the Ferrari Dino both took a small hit in P.I. too. Best advice, chuck your season 1 cars and pick up a new season 2 car on my storefront. Need a Factory ride? Let me know what you want.
Winners of each class can not drive the same car back to back seasons per the rules.
In season 2 we will give 5,000,000 million credits to the top Privateer from each class.
Laguna Seca is the first track on Feb 10th. This will start out as a blind qualifier, as we do every season. You may qualify as many times as you like until the Friday before the first race. 1 attempt per 24 hour period.
Be sure that you are not using a Factory designated paint if you are a Privateer. If you are a Factory driver, you must use a designated Factory paint. Wrong livery will result in disqualification for that race. We didn't hold your feet to the fire that much in season 1, but we will in season 2.

Great racing in Trans Am!
Was very clean out there with only a few minor bumps. The "Factory" boys dominated the 5.0L class, while a certain "Privateer" punished everyone in the 2.0L class with his Datsun 510.
The race for 4th place in the 5.0L class between two Factory drivers, one in a 1970 Camaro, and the other in a 1971 Plymouth Cuda went down to the last lap, with the MOPAR taking the checker when the Chevy lost control out of the last turn of the last lap! Very exciting to watch guys.
Next week will be a far different story at the long and fast home track of the IFCA, Sunset P. Reverse. Qualifying will take place just prior to the race.

I didn't lose control,I was looking for extra traction off that wall! Grimp executed properly when I was close, so good job to him.

Re: Series Race Talk
I must say I'm not a big fan of the "extended version" of Sebring. Causes more confusion and chaos than the "normal" version. Been taken out both times Ive raced this extended version. No one to blame, nobody races that track like that so nobody knows when to brake or forgets or what ever the case may be. Probably gonna skip that track in the future. I could be the one who misses that corner and ruins someone elses race! Dont wana be that guy! LOL

Re: Series Race Talk
I would have to agree with Kryptonic on this. Exciting as it may be to run a new variation, it can lead to a very bad outcome seeing that many drivers depend on the racing line for a guideline. It has been tested and for the mostpart it works but it really sucks for both of the guy it backfires on.

There will be a 1 point penalty on Whiskey Pie for jumping the start at Nurburg GP.

Re: Series Race Talk
FYI, only 2 cars were changed for season 4. The Pinto and the 69 Firebird Trans Am were slightly detuned. Each season gives us opportunity to level the performance of all the cars just a little bit more. Season 4 will begin Sunday April 21st.
From what I can tell, there will only be 2 more Trans Am seasons left to run this year, season 4 and season 5 as we approach the "post season" and the IFCA Forza League World Championship and the $300.00 up for grabs. These remaining races should be taken seriously so that you can maintain a high IFCA world rating. With fewer and fewer races left, this becomes more and more important.

Re: Series Race Talk
Hi guys, I want to make an entry for ¨Trans Am¨, already read the rules. I didnt qualyfy for Zusuka because the past sunday I was busy, but seems i can have some free sundays to give a shot at this.
I have to qualyfy?
I want to start first at a lower class, and I think 1 or2 people can join me in this too.

Sure, not a problem. Just show up at race time. Qualifying for the remaining races is done just prior to the race.
