Race Reports

Well, not too bad for our first outing. We will get the room settings correct for next week at Camino Short, and things should go along even better. Very clean racing, and some super fast times too! All the more impressive considering we did this with no microphones. Well done guys! See you next Saturday!

I guess we can say that the Grudge Match win goes to the 2010 Camaro over the 2010 Shelby GT500 Mustang at this track when RODMASTER set the fastest time of 1:24.851, about three tenths quicker than the fastest Shelby time of 1:25.164 by laZyTrip. Give it up to the Bow-Tie guys.

Fun race and an exciting finish at Camino Short. After a review of the replay, no penalty will be issued for the last lap bumping, or the premature second stint launch. We are still getting used to the format and how it all works to be getting too tough with the rules just yet. It's a long season boys. Many thanks to F4H Chrisupra and Krux for standing in for some of our MIA regulars. Hope to see them again.

Well dammit!! I was telling Krypt that we had this one in the bag with the big lead he got for us in his stint! But then, I started doing the math with SP33D RAC3R's Camaro lap times, and, it wasn't looking so good all of the sudden! WTF!? He was running impossible times that no one had seen in practice, down in the 1:42s!! Just f'n great! Near as I could tell he was going to catch me on the last lap no matter how fast I ran the Mustang. Sure enough, even though I ran my PB at a 1:44.084, faster than any other Mustang driver, and faster than some of the other Camaros, it wasn't enough. SP33D sacked me on the last lap with a PB of 1:42.557 enroute to catching me! Great race SP33D and ItsJustBe, nice job guys!

Great turn out for the inaugral event on such short notice guys! 4 teams of 3 drivers was pretty fun. I'm kicking myself for running off the pit lane and missing the entrance entirely!! Oh well, someone else sort of did the same thing in one of the other teams too. It happens. lol

Let's see if we can a 5th team going next Saturday. I think because of the difficult nature of trying to get a slow guy we might have to abandon that rule. We might just say any 3 drivers will do. The race length seemed a little short for this short track, we could bump it up next week.
