Season 5 Super Spec Rnd 1 Watkins Glen 8-24

FYI all, we've decided to lower the tire wear from 3.0 down to 2.5.  In further testing with more drivers most thought 3.0 was too difficult for the number of laps, and we agreed.

My new and improved tune for the Mustang is now shared.

Okay, not bad for the first race of the season. Several unexpected restarts and a couple lag outs, perfectly normal Forza race. lol  

Congrats to our winner C1 Munz who was also on pole in his 68 Mustang with a 2:04.369, but because of a Forza/T10 glitch had to start in the middle.  Also because of Forza, no replays were successfully saved.

We know that there was some major contact, and some people didn't get the memo that they must use all 3 tire compounds. Without the replay it's hard to assess penalties for this.

2nd place was gifted to Johnathon after GTDon had a game crash late in the race, as did Bullet. (thanks T10) C1 KalashN54 made the podium as a result.  

Fastest race lap went to Johnathon with a 2:03.765 in his 68 Mustang.

Over on the team side C1 Baguette E-Sport took the win over Team Penske and Team Bilstein.

Thanks to C1 Alkyra for his honesty and providing his Twitch replay as evidence of his contact, we were able to determine some penalties because of his good sportsmanship.  

C1 Alkyra has earned a strike/warning and -1pt for repeated points of contact.  Also, he did not use all 3 tire compounds per the rules. For this he earns another strike/warning and -1pt.  (Please inform everyone in C1 that all 3 compounds must be used.) 

SirKane2 was observed having hard contact in this limited replay. He has earned a strike/warning and -1pt for repeated points of contact.

I was reminded that the ruling on disconnections is again in play this season since we are using car handicaps.  We haven't used the car handicaps for 2 seasons, so I simply forgot about the lag out rule.

The rule is, any disconnection, lag out, game crash, rage quit or whatever, means that your rating is frozen.  Whatever you were during the race will carry over to the next race.

This rule was put in place to discourage drivers from tanking their ratings in order to get a better car the next round.  Mathematically it doesn't really work to do such a thing, but it does artificially mess with the finishing order of the following race and can affect team points as well. 

So, GTDon, BULLET, and LilAnt1090 must remain in their Pro level builds.
