TomCat retires!? S-l1600





I just want to let everyone know, that our oldest competitor (TomCat) has decided to hand in his IFCA Racing License and retire from the IFCA and competitive league racing.  A sad day for us all.  Tom was almost never the fastest, and not the slowest either, what he was, was the most reliable.  Come winter, summer, spring, fall, rain or shine, TomCat was going to make the race. We appreciate this about Tom as much as we did his modest behavior on and off the track. 


In his mid-80s, Tom has been our oldest competitor and probably the oldest Forza driver of all time too.  He just felt it was time to go due to reduced eyesight primarily.  It reminds me of the one thing all motorcyclists inherently know without talking too much about it.  Whether they ride Harley's or Kawasaki's, they all know there will be that one unwelcome day that comes along and becomes your very last ride.  That day when you know you have to give up motorcycling even though you have been a motorcyclist your whole life. It's a sad day, but it comes to us all.


I told Tom he was welcome to come race with us anytime.  We wish him nothing but the best, and we hope he at least shows up in our practice lobbies.
