Season 9 of the Forza Masters!

Welcome to the IFCA and Season 9 of the Forza Masters series starting Sat 7pm EST, Oct 23rd!
After a successful return to our Trans-Am racing roots in Season 8, we are back by popular demand to continue the present doubleheader format. Two separate races and sets of cars are combined in points in order to crown our next Forza Masters Champion.
The goal of this unique format is to challenge your skills as a driver, builder, and tuner. Those who prove themselves to be the most adept Forza users will earn the coveted Forza Master title and the #1 plate. It takes skill, talent, and some strategy in all three disciplines to become a Forza Master.
Our previous Forza Masters Champions include 2-time Master ZHP 2004, 3-time Master RIOT ChevyPower, and 2-time Master GTDon2. To win, you have to be more than just a fast driver. You'll need to strategically maximize all of the available points offered including the bonuses for best practice laps, track lap record, pole, fastest race lap, recruiting, season completion, and builder bonuses. And you’ll have to drive clean and stay out of the IFCA penalty box at all times. But it all starts with the right cars for the tracks offered.
This season we’ve used data from Season 8 to upgrade the performance of all the cars that were considered a little too slow. That is, in the Vintage section we increased the hp on nearly all of the cars that were not picked. A few cars had their weights adjusted too. Therefore, instead of there being only 10 or so cars that are truly competitive, now, all 40 cars will be far more competitive. As before these are semi-open builds requiring full roll cage, no downforce unless specified, and widest race tires. And yes, they are limited to A-Class.
Adding to this difficult selection process is the manufacturer bonus program for each car. In Season 8 we went light on this bonus because it was a new feature and we weren’t sure how much of an influence we wanted it to have. Now that we have a handle on the relative impact of this program, we are going to crank it up a little to make car selection even more challenging.
In Season 8 if you picked one of the top 10 cars it would cost you a mere .2 tenths of a point every round. In Season 9 this has been raised to .5 tenths of a point each round. This means you will be giving away -2.50 points for the entire 5 race season to drive one of the better cars. Not so bad until you factor in someone else picking a lesser car that gains them +2.50. This means you are spotting your competition a total of -5.0 points. And then the question becomes, can you overcome this points deficit using the faster car? Alternatively, perhaps it is better for you to gain the free points and use a slightly slower car? It’s a really tough call. The new range goes from +.75 to -.50. About a 3rd of the cars must give away points, another 3rd gains points and another 3rd is neutral.
The only new rule being introduced is a wheel size limit of 18”. We don’t allow the “donks” anymore.
Each race of the doubleheader will be extended to about 35mins long. And you can vote on which tracks you like here:

As for the Late Model T/A Spec cars we are keeping them as they are but are going to add 2-3 new cars to the roster. Only the Late Model class will have a Bronze build option. Anyone rated below 1965.000 will be allowed to use the faster Bronze build. Check out your current rating here:
