Each race will be approximately 3hrs long utilizing 3-man teams. Each driver will drive one of the 1hr legs/stints and pit 2 times during his race. There is no mandatory pit lap, drivers may pit whenever they like.
All 3 drivers begin the race and stay in the race until they complete their stint. After their stint is complete they can choose to stay or leave. Driver #1 leads the race at the start while driver #2 and #3 drive around to the pits and park at pit exit to wait their turn. Each team is in their own private party during the race.
After driver #1 completes his last lap he comes in to tag Driver #2 who will do his laps and 2 pits stops before tagging the anchor Driver #3. When anchor Driver #3 finishes the race at the end of his last lap it trips the end race timer, he will park at turn 1 as will every 3rd leg driver in the order they finished so that we can collect the correct order of finish.
There will be a bonus point for the fastest clean lap. Grid will be determined by the combined average team rating of each team unless we have more than 8 teams. More than 8 teams means we will have a 1 time 4lap qualy prior to the race. Each team will pick their driver to qualify for the team.
Each team is required to have at least 1 Factory level driver with a rating of not more than 1958.999 (Bronze driver skill). Ratings will be frozen after the last Wed prior to each race on Saturdays. If qualifying must occur because we have more than 8 teams applying, it will be between Wed and Sat
There will be a Factory level build for this Triple Crown event.
