IFCA Trans-Am Relay Challenge Season 5 Aug 10th
Welcome to Season 5 of the IFCA Trans-Am Relay Challenge Aug 10th!
Finally, we have arrived at the pinnacle of Trans-Am racing via the use of the modern T/A cars that are used today. Just as with the real TA2 class there are only 3 manufacturers, so whether you are a Chevy guy, a Ford fan, or a MOPAR man like me, you will have several cars to pick from each manufacturer. There are 4 Camaros, 3 Mustangs, and 3 Challengers you can use. All 10 cars are fully prepped with complete tunability including down force.
Builds here:

The build spec is intended to emulate the real TA2 class as much as Forza will allow. This means that certain compromises have been made in the hp department to allow all the cars to compete fairly. Unlike real TA2 cars, our IFCA cars cannot be limited to 500hp. Instead, our cars are more like TA2 but with TA level hp ranging from 600-900hp. This makes them exceptionally challenging to drive fast, --some may even wish to return to the old cars of the original series. lol
Speaking of the old cars, we will return to using them in Season 6 when we add the ATCC (Australian) cars to the mix in Oct. Because of the added performance of the Australian cars we will be upgrading almost all of the original cars performance to match. And yes, Bathurst will be on the schedule then.
As for Season 5 and the use of modern Trans-Am cars, a new feature will be used to enhance seasonal qualifying. As you know we only allow 12 teams to compete every season and to get into the show every team must qualify first. This season we are offering 1/2 point bonuses to the top 5 qualifiers into the season! So even before the actual season begins (@ Indy GP Aug 10th) you will get the chance to earn points. Yes, as before you will get two chances to qualify as a team, and the last round will be a non-relay double bonus point round where everyone races at the same time the whole race.
If you and a buddy want to make a qualifying attempt contact GTDon2 or FRB Incognito to make your attempts. There are no sign-ups, your qualifying attempt is your "sign-up." Each driver is allowed 4laps at Indy GP. Both drivers times are averaged to get a team time, and you are allowed 2 chances to get into the season. (substitute drivers and race ringers are allowed)
Race schedule:
Saturday's 6:00pm EST
1. Indy GP 8/10
2. Watkins Glen full alt 8/17
3. Lime Rock 8/24
4. Road America 8/31
5. Laguna Seca 9/7
6. Long Beach 9/14
7. Daytona 9/21
So go tell your friends, check out the build sheet, do some testing, and "prepare to qualify!" We know a lot of you out there were clamoring for fully tuneable late model cars so this is your chance! Good luck!
