Results

That was a truly fantastic bunch of races.  Many thanks to everyone who competed!  I didn't expect there to be no incidents of any kind, but that's what we got.  Nothing but very clean high level racing from everyone.  It was really amazing to be able to trust everyone you were racing.  Well done racers!

Though we had 20 sign up, only 13 showed.

Round 1 went to the pole sitter GSR RoadRunner, even though Brizzo had an early lead.  Brizzo hit the chicane wall and had to fight his way back. IsanityCursed was a distant second, echovelocity was third with a back and forth battle with CoD3Pro Brizzo in fourth, and AAR GTDon in 5th. WalteR1987R8 was 6th, 7th went to GLRSpongeOfDeth, and 8th went to CONDORAUSTRAL.  Unfortunely 6th and 8th did not realize they made it to the next round and left the lobby due to a language barrier we believe.  GLR Nelly filled in as GLR Lothar was unavailable.

echovelocity and AAR GTDon had the closest battle the whole race cleanly trading leads repeatedly until Brizzo caught them.  echovelocity eventually got away from both of them.

Round 2 was the KTM and LeMans Bugatti. This time Brizzo took the pole, and AAR GTDon starting 2nd got the hole shot start and snatched the lead. GTDon lead for a couple laps but then went off track, and then crashed into the pit wall!  He would eventually catch back up to the 4th place finisher InsanityCursed on the last lap but was eliminated finishing 5th. GSR RoadRunner would eventually take the lead from Brizzo with echovelocity taking third.

The 3rd round or semi-final round at Yaz Marina North Alt night, was between RoadRunner, Brizzo, echovelocity, and InsanityCursed,  It was a fairly uneventful race until the very end when RoadRunner lost control enough to allow Brizzo to steal the win by .064!

So the FWC final will be:

15th GSR RoadRunner 2785.011 vs 9th CoD3Pro Brizzho 2796.526 Sunday 8/14/16 6:00pm CST.  


Early odds makers are saying RoadRunner is the favorite to win.  Both drivers don't have enough officially rated races for the ratings to be fully accurate yet. Takes about 10 rated races to get an accurate ranking.  


Should Brizzo win, his ranking will jump up 2 places into the top ten Ultra section of the IFCA list at 2805.453 and 7th place. In turn, RoadRunner would stay where he is.  But if RoadRunner wins, he will jump to 2826.011 and 3rd place, and Brizzo will fall to 12th at 2793.359.


They have a whole week to practice Sebring in Ford GT race cars. Both drivers are seriously fast and have many wins, titles, and accolades to their Forza credit.  The slightest error is likely to give one or the other the win, and, the coveted FWC crown.  Should be intense.

Reminder that the final is Sunday (tomorrow) 6:00pm CST between Brizzo and RoadRunner.

Umm... do I get the title if he didn't show? I set up a lobby, messaged and invited him, but he was offline. I waited around for over 30 mins, but he never showed.

See if you can pm him for another time first. If he is still unavailable then a forfeit win will be yours.

Sorry I've messaged Brizzho. Don't know if you know... but I did the ForzaRC Today and it was quite intense so I was tired and my head was spinning. Fell asleep in the end. If use want to do it next week I can try to get myself ready again. Sorry. Otherwise, if not Brizzho can take the win. Up to you guys.

We'd like it if the both of you could get together at an agreed to time.

OK final results time. After 18 laps around Sebring, this is what we got:

1st: CoD3Pro Brizzho Best Lap: 2:01.773 Total time: 37:20.198
2nd: GSR RoadRunner Best Lap: 2:01.849 Total time: 37:33.222

Close race early on, but RoadRunner somehow managed to get 8% engine damage in the first few laps. That allowed me to get past and start building a lead. Once he pitted, he started finding some pace without the engine damage, but we were basically mirroring each other's lap times after my pit stop. We each had a few minor oops moments in the second half of the race, but I was able to hold onto the lead I built before the pit stops. Anyways, great racing with RoadRunner, and thanks for setting this up Don. Sad it's the last one on IFCA, good times here.

Congratulations Brizzo! Wow! Nice! I'm up at the NHRA Nationals in Brainerd but will update when i get back. Well done Champ!
