Greetings IFCA Members and Supporters!

Time for a little IFCA Newsletter update on the comings and goings of the league this week, and in the weeks to come.

First up is IROC 7 which happens this Sunday at 3:00pm CST. The multi-time Champion AAR GTDon will be there to try to collect yet another title, along with all the usual fast guys.  It’s the 1973 Pontiac Trans Am this time around.  Go here for build details.

Of major importance is the preparation for our special event, the return of  IFCA Endurance racing.  This is a onetime event taking place in late April.  The car, track, and class is being left up to the Members via voting.  Please let us know your preferences by voting here for track, here for car, and here for class.

On March 19th 6:00pm CST we will be conducting a practice race to get everyone reacquainted with the unique relay format of IFCA Endurance racing.  Go here for those details.

Speaking of voting here are two other points of interest we need your feedback on.   A change in rules regarding pit stops here.  And the next car selection for IFCA Spec here.

We are wrapping up Trans Am Season 3 and heading into the final round at Road America East.  There is a points lead tie between former Champion ROSCOEpCOTRAIN and Hiredgun308, both with 48 points each.  As club teammates this is going to get tough.  Though a distant 3rd Jack Coffey is poised to be a factor and spoiler to one of the points leaders.

Future plans for season 4 is to return to multiclass racing by adding P1/2 cars to TA2, and adjusting TA2 for greater equality.

Over in GT Sports Car Cup season 2 the last race is upon them at Daytona 24. IFCA Hall of Famer  SP33D RAC3R 28x came out of semi-retirement and has dominated every race he has entered securing a substantial lead in his Shelby Cobra even though he missed the COTA round!  Only echovelocity has a slim chance to catch him in his Lamborghini Miura.

Future plans for GT Sports Car Cup is to go with a single model per make, and lower the P.I. for all the cars for greater drivability.

And finally, if PCARS is your cup, check out the series headed up by Race Director Manuel CR here.
Thank you for your participation and support, AND VOTE!
