Re: IFCA Supercars
How about we call it "American-Australasian Grand Prix (A-AGP)" With the races on Suzuka, Twin Ring, Tsukuba, Mazda Raceway, Sonoma, and Sedona? That would bring in the originality factor.
I don't like 100-1 scales. Maybe 32-1, with one dropped round.

Re: IFCA Supercars
What about the Australian World Tour Championship. (A-WTC)
I hate racing on Tsukuba its a horrible track and i wouldn't like to take these supercars around there,
I was thinking of a track list like
1. Suzuka Full
2. Infinion IRL
3. Laguna Seca
4. Indianapolis GP
5. Road Atlanta
6. Road America
7. Nurburgring GP
8. Twin Ring Motegi Full
How do you mean the 32 - 1 scale?, As in 32 - 30 - 28 - 26 etc.
Was going to use the same points table as the CTSCC with the 100 - scale dropping 2 points per place with bonus points for fastest lap and pole.

Re: IFCA Supercars
Had a thought of running three races per night after watching the V8 Supercars at Adaladie, do may be two 20 lap races as the sprint races then the third race is longer so running 35 laps on race three. and using the points scale for CTSCC there can be up to 306 points up for grabs per race meeting.
Thinking of setting the grid in this sequence,
Race one: Qualifying positions
Race Two: Top 7 reversed and a random drawn pole position (eg, someone who finished 12th may start race two on pole if his/her name is randomly drawn for the pole position)
With the top 7 reversed this leaves for example;
1. Random racer
2. 6th
3. 5th
4. 4th
5. 3rd
6. 2nd
7. 1st
Race Three: Top 6 reversed from finishing positions of race two.
Very simple and straight forward procedure and i think it can work and will be very interesting for the series.

Re: IFCA Supercars
Hey, I was bored yesterday and I noticed the the Ford Mustang and one of the Holden production cars might fit together in low S-class. If the two cars could be balanced, I would support a multi-class format, top class with the race cars, bottom class with the production cars.
Your idea for a reverse grid is better than just flipping everyone around, like TORA TCR German Touring Cars did at Silverstone with a 16 driver lobby on Saturday. It got really hairy then.
Thoughts on Safety Cars? If we limit the series to 15, that would add another element.
Big thing, though, is the time. Was Monday at a really early time for me, yet a really late time for you a good idea?
I believe Saturdays between 1 PM and 3 PM (9 and 11) would work to navigate around TORA GTTC and FSCS P & GTLM, Sundays are off limits because of FSCS unless you want to do something crazy like 8 AM (2 PM GMT).
I think the standing rule should be that we plan our events around other FLR events, with a cautious regard to major non-FLR events.

Re: IFCA Supercars
Shooter?
I'm brainstorming ideas at the moment, here are some ideas:
We should do a rolling standing start, with one pace lap to set order, and stopping on the pit straight end of lap 1 in staggered form about 20 feet between each car if there aren't any grid slots. Lobby leader will announce a time about 15 seconds away when everyone is set on the grid and no one calls out any errors in the grid. Then at that certain time (ex: 3:00 on the dot) everyone goes. I or someone else will watch with spectate mode to see if there are any incidents. (If someone jumps, we can check on the replay later).
This sounds really hard, but in practice, it will be really fun and it will add a dimension we've never tried before. Great for streaming coverage, if I can arrange some.
Another idea is to have a bonus where the Production class starts in front of the race cars with a delay of 20 seconds, and see if the Race cars can beat the Production cars by a certain lap #. If so, we'll award a prize. This was done at the LA Marathon where the women were given a 17 minute head start over the men for $50k in bonus money.
Shooter, in order to make any of your or my ideas work, we must talk soon. First week(end) of April is when we need to start something new.

Re: IFCA Supercars
Its just going to be the Race cars, Holden vs Ford. Ive had to put this on the back foot atm because my daughters first birthday is next weekend and have had to take time planning and organizing her party.
As soon as i can i will be looking into getting this running, but at the mo it is not my main priority.
