SEASON 9 RACE 11 HOCKENHEIMRING 50 LAPS/ 25 ST

Apologies for neglecting the IFCA forums of some great racing info and results from the Forza Sports Car Series.

Sunday March 3 was the date for our event at Hockenheimring.

One of Germany's premier racing venues this historic track began in 1932 and is located in the scenic Rhine valley in SW Germany. This track is legendary and notorious for being unpredictable and relentless in its close action racing. With its nearly completely flat design, drivers must contend with five long, high-speed straights and several tight corners. Speeds of nearly 180 mph in GT can be reached on the Parabolika before braking into the famed hairpin ("spitzkehre" in German), one of the most exciting passing spots on any circuit. A few turns later, drivers reach the modern and graceful Mercedes grandstands, which loom above a technical, sharp left-hander roughly halfway around the course—another good place for overtaking rivals. Rounding the final Elfkurve and Sudkurve turns through the immense grandstand. Architecturally this track is a masterpiece and for racing it will provide the winner with immense pride for winning on one of Germany's premier race tracks HockenheimRing in one of the premier racing series The Forza Sports Car Series.

The ST Hard Charger Award 2 point bonus is earned by AAR GTDon {R} in the #4 Opel Speedster Turbo RWD for Charging from 9th in the field to finish 3rd gaining a Hard Charging 6 positions!

Race Recap and Incident Report

RAFT Grandsport: Lap 1 Turn 13 has avoidable contact rear ending the #64 Ford Mustang GT RWD of RAFT h4yes01 causing significant damage and loss of control. PENALTY - 45 second time penalty & 2 weeks of probation. (there were several other incidental contact created due to this initial incident. None of which are penalizable)

SVT No Brakes: Lap 6 Turn 8 Rear ends the #22 Aston Martin DBS of Hiredgun308. Avoidable Contact causing significant damage and loss of control. Penalty 5 point penalty and 2 race probation.


GT

CitizenS0ldier3 {R}: Lap 20 Turn 6 The Hairpin - The #56 Ferrari F50 of CitizenS0ldier3 {R} has Avoidable Contact hitting the #8 Saleen S7 of BLAHZAY xxl causing significant damage and loss of contro.l Penalty 5 points due to DNF.
