Sonoma Raceway, formerly known as Sears Point Raceway and Infineon Raceway is a 2.52 miles (4.06 km) 12-turn road course located on the landform known as Sears Point in the southern Sonoma Mountains near Sonoma, California, USA. Born out of the ideas hatched in a Mexican restaurant in Northern California in the late 1960s, Infineon Raceway has grown from a quaint regional track to one of the largest and most respected motorsports destinations in North America. Close to the heart of California's Sonoma wine country, Infineon Raceway enjoys beautiful weather year-round, making it an ideal spot for the wide variety of racing that occurs on it's flowing but difficult corners—in fact, it's one of the most utilized courses in the world, with events being held nearly 340 days each year. The course is a complex series of twists and turns that go up and down the hills. This course was utilized by all competition through 1997. Most races, including the Grand Prix of Sonoma, use the full course. The course is noted for turns two and three, which are banked on the driver's right. This provides a challenge for the driver, as turn two would normally have the drivers moving to the left side of the track. For the racers of The Forza Sports Car Series the season has developed and the championship hunt is in full frothy battle. The GT Hard Charger Award 2 point bonus is earned by Speed Demon 69 in the Predatory Racing #69 Ferrari 458 Italia for Charging through the field from 11th to finish 5rd gaining 6 positions!

The GTC Hard Charger Award 2 point bonus is earned by GLR Roca in the Falken Racing #122 Porsche 911 Sport Classic (997) for Charging from 11th in the field to finish 6th gaining 5 position!

A Room

GT Rolling Start was a little spaced out but it worked out pretty well.
GTC Rolling Start was good. Nice close group (except for the lagging car)

Great racing with no contact at all! There was one heck of a battle in GT and GTC with racers going three wide in areas barely meant for one car!


B Room

GT Rolling Start was very nicely done. A good single file line and a clean start.
GTC Rolling Start was a bit spread out with the cars in the back specifically too far away. Other than that it was a single file line clean and no one jumped the start.

Lap 9 - THF dvsSublime makes a very aggressive passing move on a GTC car that causes minor contact and no damage. Nice move...But risky.

Lap 12 -THF dvsSublime (GT) attempts to make a similar very aggressive passing move on the (GTC) #57 Pontiac G8 GXP of TheManNowDog777. THF dvsSublime was not able to slow down sufficiently to avoid TheManNowDog777 as he turned in to his apex at Turn 11. (Penalty Pending Under review by Assistant Series Director. 1st Offense - Probation 30 second time penalty)

Great 3 way battle up front in GTC! Great racing in GT until the incident on lap 12 which then let Speed Demon 69 pull away a bit.

Lap 13 GLR Roca THAT WAS CLOSE!!!!

Overall Great racing!
