Tuning Masters
I've been thinking about a fun little thing to do for those who enjoy tuning cars but may not be the best drivers of their own wrenching.
The idea is you designate a car with a particular build, and then allow anyone who thinks they can tune the car to do so. Then, 2 drivers, 1 hand controller, and 1 wheel driver are given the tuned cars to turn some laps in. Each driver will do 10 laps at the specified track. Add the 2 best lap times together from each driver, and then divide by 2 to get an average lap time. The tuner that has the fastest average lap with his tune, is the IFCA Tuning Master.
There would be just 1 submission per tuner.
So for example, lets say, the car is a 1970 Corvette @ Road Atlanta with a build of:
Wheel driver will be AAR GTDon
Controller driver will be DMR Kryptonic (maybe)
When you think you have your best tune, send it over to me and I will send it to Kryptonic or whoever is willing.

Re: Tuning Masters
Thumbs up! Shall I begin with this example car? I consider myself a fair driver, with fair tuning skills, sound fair to you?

Re: Tuning Masters
I found this resource for real world transmission ratios:
http://www.tremec.com/calculadora.php
Something to consider while tweaking on a tune.
I still haven't begun this challenge, perhaps this afternoon prior to Spec Vette. I feel my tune for that is pretty good.
I've been trying to replicate the paint and graphics on a TruSpeed911 for my project of late.... I think I found the true logos I need to complete this project. ( They are too small and blurry to discern in photos sometimes). Now that I found them, I only have to replicate them, estimate; 12 hours. OH NO!!!!
