S II Race 4: Mugello Club
Welcome to the final race of the IFCA Touring Car Series II at Mugello Club Circuit. Here is some updated information for this race!
Read the Full Rules here: https://ifca.forumotion.com/t5628-ifca-touring-car-championship-info
The race is 26 green-flag laps (27 total because of the rolling start).
Due to recent discussions that occurred in the past week, the new IFCA policy is that the race lobby will be entered first come first serve. So here's how it will go. There will be no more practice sessions starting after 8:50 P.M. EST. After the final session concludes, I will jump out of the practice lobby and create an official event lobby. At exactly 9:00 P.M. EST (Xbox clock), I will change the lobby settings from invite only to friends only. (All competitors must be on my friends list). It is your duty to get yourself in the room as soon as possible. At 9:05, I will send invites to drivers that have earned points and are not yet in the room. At 9:10-9:15, those who are in will qualify, while those who are out will not. After the qualifying session concludes, I will wait approx. 90 seconds for anyone else who wishes to race. If anyone else manages to get in, they can race, but they will start at the back. This overrides the previous statement that invites are determined by points. If you are in, DO NOT LEAVE. If you leave, you will possibly forfeit your spot in the race to those who have connection conflicts with you.
You must pit twice during the race. You must announce that you are pitting. No pitting before lap 3 or after lap 25. If you pit too early, then it doesn't count, and you must pit again when the pits are "open". If you pit too late or not at all, too bad, you will be penalized or disqualified. You can re-enter the racetrack after the downhill section of the straight. You do not have to go through the turn 1 apron.
The race will start on lap 2 as a rolling start at 70 M.P.H./112 K.P.H. The person who qualifies on the pole will announce the start by saying "3...2...1...Go!" WHEN ALL THE CARS ARE ON THE STRAIGHT. There is no passing until after the start/finish line!
Rule on restarting the race: "- Restarts will only occur if there is a incident involving 2 or more cars on the first lap. There will be a maximum of 3 restarts per race. After the 3rd restart everyone will be on their own, if any additional problems happen on the pace lap they will be reviewed by IFCA Staff."
False Start Rule: At the saying of "Go" by the pole sitter, if either the cars are not in the correct order, or the start is not at the correct pace speed, I will declare a false start and we will continue one more lap and try again.
Notice to competitors: Car builds may change before Series III begins. It is up to you to check the website to see if there are any changes. If your car build does change, you may request a new open build at any time other than race night. Otherwise, locked builds will be posted on my storefront.
Results along with Ratings will be posted here after the post-race inspection of the replay. Thanks for participating in Series II and good luck in the final.
