SRC Race 3 and 4 Hockenheim

Okie dokie, we now have figured out how to get the pause button to work in replays, and the replays go about 20min.  But, the replay doesn't show the cars in the correct builds still.  So we are closer to the way it was in FM7.  That being said we can now be more official with penalties.  This being the case, we are going to be light with our judgements this one time, and caution everyone from here on out about contact, the IFCA Golden Rule, and liveries.  No one will receive a points penalty this round.  But some of you will earn a strike.  In the future we will only review the first 2-3 laps.  If something bad happens beyond this, just file an incident report and we will look into it.

Phoenix hard hit on Johnathon at the hairpin, earns a warning/strike
Sox vs OneShot ruled a 'magnetic' race incident, cars locked together. 
Grecken did not wait for creech after contact was made and creech went off track. earns a warning/strike
Dawgs forced an unsafe return to the track causing contact with SirKane and did not wait for Sirkane who went off track. earns a warning/strike
Creech hit Trident hard in the hairpin, earns a warning/strike
Fabio had no livery. earns a warning/strike

The race had numerous battles up and down the grid, and honestly, the contact was fairly minimal.  The leaders GTDon and ChevyPower gapped the field and fought for the win the entire length of the race. They traded lead about a half dozen times with Chevy able to out brake GTDon and GTDon abel to exit the corners faster.  It was a neck and neck seesaw battle the whole way with ChevyPower finally taking the lead with 2 laps to go, and the win by 1.196sec.  ChevyPower also snatched up the fastest race lap as well with a 1:54.302.  Taking 3rd on the podium a mere 7sec back was ZAR Eries with a lap of 1:54.411 as he gained on the leaders the whole race.

A really fun race where everyone was very determined not to lose a position, or collect penalties.  Good job guys!

Okay!  Amazing race everyone!  Job well done by most of you honestly.  

Just as with Season 1, it is starting to come down to a super tight points race between the top 3 again.  Eries, ChevyPower and GTDon, past IFCA champions all, they are really grinding it out this season come hell or high water.  All 3 took time as the leader in this race with ChevyPower and GTDon swapping the lead the most times.  

GTDon took the pole position but couldn't get away from ChevyPower who snagged the fastest race lap and track lap record with a 1:53.557 to GTDon's 1:54.076.  Eries, taking a distant 3rd in the end ran a 1:54.184.  But it was GTDon this time who finally broke away at the end with 6laps to go for the win.  ChevyPower forced to settle for 2nd.  Both had numerous soft points of contact but the computer did not register a single penalty as if it knew neither driver was gaining or hurt from it.  They were side by side in every part of the track just about.  Eries was briefly in the mix as well after catching the leaders, but then had the dreaded sim-steer twitch or something and ran off the track in a massive tank slapper.

Kudos goes out to Willie finishing just off the podium in 4th, fabiomqs in 7th, and GTDon, as the only drivers who were 100% clean without any penalties.  Speaking of which, no one was able to save a replay, it just didn't work for some reason.  And that's too bad because there were some issues we wanted to look at.  Our impression is that some have been straying away from the IFCA mission statement here:

...and taking secret liberties to do what they want without regard for their fellow competitors.  We can't have this because it ruins it for everyone.  If you have a problem, don't take it out on the other drivers.  Stay off their bumpers, quarter panels, and fenders, please.  All but 3 drivers were 100% clean this race when the goal is the opposite.  Yes, many got dirty because of track limits, but you and I know, not everyone did.  So, until T10 can fix the replay feature (again), we will institute the Forza DQ limit.  Get too much penalty, and you are auto-black flagged for the day.

Over on the Team Championship points side Team Penske remains the steady points leader with Titans of Tougé holding off CR1 Racing, for now.
