Leagues
League talk from T10
"In Leagues, Turn 10 will break players into Driver Divisions based on their skill and their professionalism. All players will begin at the lowest division but, via a similar mechanism to the Elo rating system used in chess, skilled drivers will quickly move up into the higher divisions. Players will also be filtered by their temperament, ensuring clean drivers are pitted against clean drivers and drivers unafraid of a little contact will be racing against like-minded opponents."
You mean just like the one we have had here at the IFCA for 4 years now Dan? Better late than never I suppose.
http://www.ign.com/articles/2015/08/17/forza-6-multiplayer-should-help-players-find-their-perfect-race
“We did look at other games, but I wouldn’t say Leagues was directly influenced by any one game nearly as much as it was by knowing our community and why these multiplayers love playing,” says Greenawalt on the inspiration for this new approach to Forza Motorsport multiplayer.
“Here’s what I love. We can invite players to special Leagues, so here’s a place where an F1 legend like Fittipaldi, an IndyCar driver, a V8 Supercar driver, they can all race together in a League – and this is the type of racing I want to watch. Seeing these disparate drivers racing together in a Formula Ford, or a BTCC car; that’s really cool racing. The way this system’s going to work is we can greenlight famous streamers to stream those races.”

Re: reviews
In watching this fluffy interview I was reminded of the faux interview that was credited to me and the IFCA some years ago, which was a hacked account as it turns out. When I contrast the two I have to say I prefer the fake interview over the real one. The fake one was harder hitting and focused on many of the subjects now being made available in FM6 like competitive league racing.
Real interviews like this latest one is so void of interesting and informative questions that they are practically worthless. Sadder still even after the games release Dan Greenawalt still doesn’t have the balls to do an open question interview. I can see not wanting to take hard questions before release, but not after.
Here’s a typical pre-release interview:
“How many cool colors do you include in the game this release?”
“Thousands really.”
“We are told that you will have 450 cars in FM6 is this the most you have ever had?”
“Pretty much.”
“With so many cool colors and cool cars do you think there will be something for everyone?”
“We are very confident everyone can find a car they like.”
“How soon will you be releasing Forza 7 and will it have bikes boats and planes?”
“We have a 2 year cycle, and you never know.”

Re: reviews
I'm pretty stoked with track selection. Cars are still meh, better than other games but still a bunch of lame rear-end cars some kid who has never driven thinks is cool. You know the 80's early 90's cars from Europe you have never heard of because they are straight up piles of rusty dog doodoo, yea those cars, quit adding them!
1945 Jeep Willys MB Standard Edition
1949 Mercury Coupe
1975 Ford Bronco
1983 GMC Vandura G-1500
1991 Jeep Grand Wagoneer
2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT
2011 BMW X5 M
2011 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor
2011 Ford Transit SuperSportVan
2012 Cadillac Escalade ESV
2013 Ram Runner
2014 Land Rover Range Rover Supercharged
2014 Lamborghini Urus
Enough said, don't be a loser, this is a circuit racing game, 57 chevy cough cough
1986 Alfa Romeo Spider Quadrifoglio Verde
1990 Alfa Romeo SZ Sprint Zagato
1992 Alfa Romeo 155 Q4
These alfa's were clearly picked my a pimple faced twat that has no understanding of history / racing or automobiles. Why are any of these 3 cars in the game when cars like the tz1 / Guilietta, Sprint Speciale missing, where is the 8c? Pure laziness.
This is something that signifies forza appealing to MASSES instead of actual enthusiasts and I can safely say whoever is in charge of said decisions is a real lala.
I could have replaced all these cars and increased the desirability of this game a lot. Why do these idiot fools still add these cars when there is Horizon 2?
FH4 guys need to beat the doodoo out of some of their colleagues.

FM6 demo
Not bad, slightly better feeling than FM5, but still not the match of PCARS physics. Pretty cars same as FM5, cool animations and nice looking tracks. Sound quality is a bit muffled, lacking high notes compared to the outstanding sounds in PCARS.
The more I played with FM6 demo the more it felt like it was begging me to get a wheel. In this respect both PCARS and FM6 seem to feel this way, like you know you can get more out of it with a wheel.
FM6 is smoother and more refined and polished, but it also has a cartoonish look to it at times. The overall color is still too opaque for my liking, needs some sharper contrasts for a richer deeper look.
I think FM6 will work just fine, but we have to see the whole game to judge that.

Re: reviews
I ended up getting rid of my deadzones and turning sim steering on to get what I feel is a realistic feeling, here is description straight from the Forza information in the menu of the game.
"Simulation steering eliminates any damping and steering speed assistance for a more realistic, one-to-one effect, making counter- steering much quicker. Please note this mode is difficult with a controller, and is recommended for advanced players".
- Weather imo beats pants of project cars and makes the dynamicness irrelevant. IMO all people on about dynamic weather should think about that actually having a dynamic effect on the track as I feel it really doesn't. It's more like an overall grip for the entire course is adjusted via 1 slider. Track conditions as Forzas wet track is so much more complex, you have a ton of different sized water and areas on the side of the track that all react differently depending on your gas and steering input. Theres so many areas to constantly compensate for. Playing a track with rain vs. no rain = go a little bit slower and don't be a complete idiot in project cars, In Forza it = 40 Different things I have to do per lap that will change depending on my line and cars around me and be very difficult to repeat the same line in the low grip areas. It's just leagues more involved. The most important thing about weather should be the driving experience, and pcars seems to have forgotten this.
I'm going to go off on a rant now about my 2 biggest problems with Pcars,
1) off track physics are poop, spin outs aren't very correct or real, you can keep the throttle and steering pinned in the grass etc, just having a speed limiter is a cheap method to actually mapping these areas with real textures and grip levels. This isn't the case everywhere but It seems about 10% is done correctly, most is horse doodoo and this also contributes to the ai maintaining perfectly despite being off course.
2) The visuals of the other cars around you. Say We do a league race and 12 of us go into the first turn, the cars are constantly darting left right back and forth, the cars around you, in front and behind you NEVER track out in a realistic fashion as if you were watching a race. It looks insanely arcadey, mind you it's only the competitors around you the immersion just isn't the same for me. Maybe you guys just suck at taking a driving line? jk.
Despite not being a Nascar fan (don't hate me) my opinion is pcars better get off the side of the track cause Tony Stewart is coming!

"THE VERDICT
Like a big bucket of Hot Wheels brought to life, Forza Motorsport 6 is first-order car porn for the automobile obsessed but remains an accessible and exciting racer for those who just want to drive fast in something red with a horse logo on it. It’s spinning its wheels in a few areas but what’s here is undoubtedly some of the finest racing you can find on console and easily worth the upgrade from Forza 5." ---IGN_________________

Ouch! Didn't want to recommend FM6 because of the poor drivatar and career mode? Really? Who cares about career mode in any racing sim??
You get the game to race other people in leagues or multiplayer events, not for career mode! If that's what you think racing sims are about primarily, then you need to stop reviewing them! lol
Complaining that you only had 1 good race in single player career mode over a few days of racing, is missing the point and real attraction of the simulation entirely. lol

Re: reviews
To be honest these guys gave Project Cars a low score too. I think they do have some valid point's, not everyone buys racing games to race online so having an interesting and engaging single player is important. Also I agree with what they said about the handling, playing the demo I had that weird oversteery bug from Forza 5 that was present when driving cars with stock or low camber settings, whereas in reality more negative camber angles would cause oversteer which is why drifters prefer it.
I think until i've got my hands on it and I've tuned a few cars myself I'll reserve judgement.
Anyway not long to wait now

But to reject recommendation of the entire game for the least interesting and least attractive part of it, is ridiculous! Lol
Career mode is the weakest feature of any sim. Always has been. Why? Because it is artificial, and not socially interactive. And it never will be. This will always be the weakest link, and really dumb to judge the whole game by.

I've always considered at least on Sim steering Forza's oversteer to be by far the most real. Chances are with a lot of cars you aren't going to easily gather it up when you make a big mistake at full speed. The oversteer like that is what makes the game for me, keeps you on the edge and completely.
And when contact between cars is not flawed you get this;
