Season 1 Points

The most points a team or a single can get per race is 16 plus 1 for fastest lap in class. (not fastest lap in lobby.)
For teams the finishing order is calculated as an average unless they finish in tandom e.g., 1-2, 2-3, 3-4 etc. When a team finishes together in tandom, their points are based on the fastest members total time, and not an average between the two.

Congrats to our first Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Champions LMR Scantraxx in GS and team AAR of RODMASTERR and Oneshot in ST! Please send me notice of what car you placed on the auction house to collect your 10 million in prize money.

Other notes of interest, only in the last race did the start handicap come into play for one particular driver and change his finishing order, and that was ALL MAX's FWD Cobalt. The 0.7sec he gets was enough to push up 2 places into second for the race.

Interesting to see how well the new guy Danny 171 did in the season 2 build Miata. Though way down on P.I. he managed 5th place in class out of 8 for the race. Not bad considering the season 2 car builds are slightly slower than season 1.

The teams did perhaps better than expected or predicted by most people at the beginning of the season. Many were asking why even run a team since it didn't appear to be an advantage, and may even be a disadvantage? Of course the point of having teams isn't so there is an advantage over singles at all, no. The point is to create an equal way to allow teams and single to compete fairly against each other. And I think this was achieved! In GS, the fastest single driver (Scantraxx) did win, and the fastest team (ROSCoe/maxxi) came in 4th. Not bad. In ST, the fastest team (RODMASTERR/Oneshot) won the Championship, but were not always the fastest cars on the track. Well done to you all! And for those of you who thought the teams were doomed, better think again, and maybe partner up! lol
