Grand-Am and ALMS to merge!!!

Probably means that we could see the ALMS renamed as Grand-Am something...or a combination of the 2 series into 1.

yeah i read that this morning, just got home and posted it in my blog but saw you had it up in it's own post so i just took it down.... Well my only thoughts is they should make LMP/DP/GT their own classes and only have the 3 classes with common ground builds. I really don't want them to do away with the Riley's i love them

I wonder what kind of affect this will have on the Continental Tire Series. My gut tells me that it will become extinct, and that would be a shame, because that series produces very competitive racing as well.

i was thinking that too but there is a chance they could be come a gateway into the ALMS-AM sort of like the Pirelli World Challenge that features many very young drivers moving up in sports car racing.

Sign of the times(Bad times i'm afraid). Hope things get better.............
