Glad to see it's still happening over here. I have totally gone over to the Dark Side and gone the whole iRacing Sim route. I love that I can get on just about any time and run an officially sanctioned race with people from all over the world. Love laser scanned tracks. But here's the real revelation. On the tracks I've run over at iRacing that were also featured on Forza, (i.e., Laguna Seca, Silverstone, Suzuka, etc.) the racing lines are identical, and the feel is nearly the same. So basically Forza 4 is just a great bargain. Also I'm friends with the "Inside Sim Racing" guys, (they live within a half hour of my home) and they do say, Forza 4 is much better than GT5. There is one thing though, that might keep me from coming back soon, and that's the fact that iRacing is starting to bring their New Tire Model slowly into the game. They've designed it to flex and move around like a real tire. The few cars I've driven with the NTM feel totally different from what I've been used to, so I'm curious to see what happens when it's introduced on the cars I'm currently driving, the Formula Star Mazda and the Radical SR 8. Anyway, that's it for now so take care everybody, even you too Don, (lol).

He's aliiive!! Hi Red, I have an iRacing account too, and iRacing is very cool. But my friends are here. I find the iRacing community to be a bit stale and unfriendly for the most part. The driving is harder and less fun too, so I mainly get on there as place to go to hot lap in solitude. Good to see you.

Yes, I do get that part of it Don, that it's a little unfriendly. I think that's because when I get on to race during odd hours, I don't always run into the same racers. For instance, the Formula Star Mazda is pretty popular, with about 1,400 racers in the competition. So I don't always run into the same crowd. However, after a couple of seasons, everybody learns who everybody is. Actually disappointed that the IRacing tracks that mimic Forza tracks are so similar. Miss the great team paint jobs, that's for sure. Like I said, compared to the money I've put out for iRacing, (on average, about $13 per car and track, Forza 4 is the greatest bargain in sim racing, the game doesn't have to apologize to anyone. I have been pretty disappointed in F1 2011, as it still has many of the flaws that 2010 had. (Cutting corners, pushing people off track without getting damage). Still, overall, I like the change of driving PC based sims, but will always be humbled by the many who are so phenomenally quicker than I will ever be. (Big secret; a good deal of the quick guys will crash before the race is up, leaving me to pick up the scraps.)
p.s. Don, if you want to see my stats, just look up John G. Hill.

I will look you up Red! Mine is Don Gaetke. lol funny that my real name feels more like a tag than my Forza tag! So, when are we going to get you into OUR Super Spec series, so you can get a Forza rating? Our rating system is somewhat like iRacing's.
