IFCA Spec Kings Wed 8pm CST

Every Wed night anyone can come join our "IFCA Spec Kings" series on a first come first serve basis.  

Each week will feature a different track.  There are no series points or build handicaps.  Everyone is in the same Spec car.  So, it's a mostly for fun race of around 35min long and 1 pit stop. There will be a 2 lap qualy before the standing start of the race. No livery requirements.

The car has stock power with maximum weight loss, and has fully tunable parts with Sport tires. This is a no downforce setup too.  

The "IFCA Spec Kings" offers drivers of all skill levels a super easy and fun car to drive at the limit, and in a crowd.  This is about as turnkey and as equal as it gets.  Tuning has minimal effect on the cars allowing drivers to spend more time on their driving and less on tuning.

These cars in this form can also teach drivers a lot about how to properly drive a track for when they are in their more upgraded cars too.  So, come check the "IFCA Spec Kings" out if you have the time on Wed nights.

The only stat we will keep for the Wed night Spec Miata Maniacs series is the total average finishing order.  There are no series points and your skill rating is not affected.  This will give us an indication of which drivers are doing best in this just for fun series.  This series lasts as long as the more serious weekly Saturday season event.

If the Spec Miata Maniacs series starts to become popular to the point that we have more than 24 drivers jumping into the lobby each Wed, we will setup a hot lap leaderboard to identify the top 24 drivers for the race each week.

Great racing everyone! Great to see some old faces and fast drivers too.  The Miata is perfect for Spec racing like this.  I had great fun with a super clean racer DinoGrumps.

Posted above you will see the only stat we track for this, which is your average finish position. Tell your friends, and bring them to this close intense racing next Wed at Mid-Ohio short.

Again, another solid close race with little to no contact!  Great fun racing RZR rossduds.  I highly recommend that if you have time Wed nights, come join the Spec Miata race.  No points or anything, but we do keep track of your average finishing order.

Next season we will use the B521 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS , 207hp/188tq 2337lb.

Incredible racing at Road America in the spec Miata boys!  Congrats to Johnathon for the win, with too many lead changes to count, and the most 3 wide corners I've ever seen in any race!  Check out the shared replay it's worth watching.  Excellent drivers driving hard and fair the whole race, side by side, amazing! Congrats to Yensiff, RP Johnathon, and GTDon, who finished 1,2,and 3 on the season.  This is based on average finishing order from each round raced.  You have to have at least 3 races to your credit to be counted in the final tally.  Yensiff does collect the IFCA title,  "IFCA Spec King" by the slimmest of margins for his effort, just 0.159 between him and runner up RP Johnathon!

IFCA Spec Kings is still just for fun, and not a recognized IFCA championship series, and therefore has no season points or effect on driver skill level.  But this doesn't mean our Spec racers are not putting their foot to the floor either!  The racing has been ultra clean and hyper competitive each and every round nonetheless!  We highly recommend that if you have the time on Wed nights to come have a go at these guys, it's really a lot of good sportsmanship and fun racing.

There is one other reward aside from earning the title "Spec King", and that is, the top 10 drivers have all earned their own official number plate for the series.  This is a way to reward and recognize all of our Spec King regulars.  So starting with Yensiff and the #1 plate, down to NaughtyDawgz with the #10 plate please display your proper race number in Season 2.  This will be the only livery requirement at this time.
