the unofficial pre-list

Okay boyz and girlz, The unpublished pre-list of the, "Top 70 IFCA World Rankings" is nearly ready. But before we make it official, we want to run it by all the clubs first, to see who we may have missed that should be on the list. We are doing this because people are always changing gamer tags and it is hard to keep track of the changes. We might have 2 or more gamer tags that belong to the same person, so we need your help on this. And though statistics don't lie, we may have grossly under ranked, or wildly over ranked someone based on a simple error or something.

The IFCA is not at all satisfied with this unofficial list as of yet, nor is it written in stone, but we are starting to see a clearer picture of who is ranked where, and this is exciting to see. Finally we will have a list that will account for (in some small degree) the wide range of skills and performances in the greater Forza world, a list that goes beyond isolated measurements of relative speed in only one catagory.

Hot lap rank, Time Trial rank, CGS performance, IFCA sanctioned series titles, and a top 5 random selection of two different classes were used to adjust the list. These data points were all equally treated, however, because hot lapping has the greater bank of information to draw from its influence is more heavily felt. Beyond these tangible statistics, there was a need to further refine the list based on real-world performance and experience, especially for those extremely fast drivers who are not well represented on the scoreboards.

Although an objective analysis of the numeric results was used for 90% of this list, there is a subjective analysis of not more than 10%. We presume that our results will be within a margin of error of +/- 5%. This might mean that #10 could be either #14 or #6, and that the top 4-5 are virtually anyones guess as to who is actually #1. That is, until they compete against each other.

So again, try not to get too cranked up over this pre-list, and let us know who we missed, or what mistakes we made so far.

I will take full responsibility for a club format in this. It can do wonder for the IFCA to have an official club hotlap list

Excellent, I just looked at the 1st round results of the IFCA SpecRacing series, and it almost exactly mirrors what the IFCA World Rankings official list predicts should happen...

Of course anything can happen in a tight race, and driver skill can vary day to day. SP33D RAC3R set the fastest race lap of the race for example, but did not win.

FYI, darkstorm is no longer with TRC

How did blademeisterTRC not make the list? He was one of the final four in the Nissan Sentra Tournament, finished in the top 25 in the CGS qualifier, and has many top 10 times in hot lap. He also has managed several top 10's, including a second place, in the weekly HLC's that have upwards of 3000 people competing.

Just wondering how he was overlooked, yet TRC Scorpion, who had done nothing except finish in the top 25 of the CGS, and never plays this game anymore, gets a spot? Not trying to start anything, I just think that the 'list' has several people that don't even play Forza on it, and others, like blademeister who plays every day, get left out.

Yggdrasil and Ch0mpr come to mind. Let me be clear here, I think that both of these guys are incredible talent. They could beat most of the guys on that list. But they don't play, and never really have. How did they get so high on the list? What has Yggdrasil done in FM2 to deserve the 11th spot?

Just my opinion.

Oh yes, the list is incomplete and flawed here and there we admit, but the only way to correct it is to get on with it we figured.

We knew that some would be left out, over valued, or simply over looked, and that few outside the IFCA would bother to help us in this regard until the actual list we came up with went public. So you see, you (and others) are now helping us to fine tune it for the better list to come in June.

yeah - me being in the 20's isn't right, i know that much lol - i don't do anything on this game bar IFCA - perhaps not even on the list compared to 'other' 80 people that are good and play religiously
