Our Hall of Fame is reserved for those rare and talented drivers who not only have multiple championships to their credit, but also have longevity in the sport of console simulation racing, and in particular Forza based simulation racing.

These drivers encompass not only speed, and sportsmanship, but a long time reputation as valued promoters and champions of the sport.  Their induction doesn't rest on track performance alone, but also on the enormous contribution of their time and effort outside the track, and willingness to help others enjoy Motorsports on a virtual level too.

Our criteria for Hall of Fame induction begins with outstanding performance, whether that outstanding performance is club based, league based, national level, or international level, racing, or hot lapping.  There are many super fast drivers who make no other contributions.  They don't organize clubs or leagues or series, they only want to compete to the exclusion of everyone and everything else. And this is fine, but it isn't enough to be a Hall of Famer. Rare is the super fast driver who also gives of his time to help promote the enjoyment of the sport and improve the performance of others.  These are the true Hall of Famers.

Gone in 60


Gone in 60, like his tag suggests has been one of the fastest original members of the IFCA going all the way back to FM1.  Although retired now due to school and career, Gone in 60 was renowned and still revered as the IFCA's "Stig" for his limitless test driving ability.  As a test driver Gone in 60 was the driver behind most of the leveling of most of the early series and events including the FWC's (Forza World Championship).  With thousands of laps and hours of devotion Gone in 60 could quickly get up to speed and lay down consistent laps like a machine. Didn't matter what kind of car, what kind of horsepower or drive train, he could extract most of what the car had to offer on any given track in just a few laps.

Gone in 60 was actually one of the most pure racers we've seen come through the IFCA, and not a hot lapper. He was all about close competition and high pressure racing.  He would rather hang back and race you close than runaway from the field usually.  This probably hurt his overall win percentages having only won 1 FWC and several smaller events, but that wasn't important to him.  What was fun for him was racing you side by side around the whole track, lap after lap! He developed a unique talent for super close clean racing that would often scare the crap out of other drivers. His uncanny ability to be inches away from you and yet never touch you was unnerving, and insane!  But he proved that with some effort and a lot of practice you could get that good.

His main claim to fame was doing the impossible and running a #1 lap time in a short 3 or 4 lap race.  At first we thought it was just luck, but then he did it again, and then again, in different cars and classes!  It was so crazy that even he was amazed, and we dubbed him "miracle lap boy." The amazing thing was that his #1 time would smash the old record, and when he would go back and try to hot lap it and beat it, he could not!

Gone in 60 occasionally stops by the IFCA to have a look around, but with no hint of coming out of retirement and returning to actual competition.  He is missed, and has left a lasting Hall of Fame impression on all of the original members. 

His most famous saying, "Practice doesn't make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect."




eries

A founding father of the IFCA, eries was here at the beginning in FM1.  Though not in semi-retirement like SP33D RAC3R but in actual full retirement, eries too has won nearly every series event he has competed in at least once.  

One of the few drivers to ever beat SP33D RAC3R in an FWC final, eries was notorious for his tuning skills, and unlike SP33D's natural ability to drive stock cars and stock tunes at the limit, eries was the opposite and hated stockers.  He taught us all that being fast with a stock tune was a different skill set, and not an equal playing field as supposed.  His logic was that some would have an advantage because their style would better lend to stock tunes and therefore would not be fair to those who could not drive them.  

Back in the day eries as his gamer tag suggests waged war in what would become the most hotly contested class in all of Forza, the D-Class Honda Civic's.  To this day there has been no fiercer competition than FM1's D-Class, and eries was at the top of his game there.  Unarguably the man from South Africa was #1 for a time in the public lobbies of the now legendary D-Class wars.  

For a short time when the legends of the game like the all conquering IIxcamxII, picaso, DaMo, fugazi, Stronger Ginge, REXPWR, Chilledheat, SP33D RAC3R 28x, Nat Nai, PpR Zman, PpR JED, PpR General E Live, VVV Daveyskills. TRC Smokinu, TRC Georgia Dawg, TRC factory, SPDN flo lez gas, TRC Greekman, TRC WildChild, TRC Redjett, GSR Mayhem, AJ The Boy, AMG PoTthed, GLR Brizzo, TPR Lou, PpR 3wide, TRC Civic Eater, Dark Storm 46, TRC Da fish, TRC MOVINTARGET, VVV DangerFIN, NiKKo, Gone in 60, Dantastic, Chrisupra, invisico, and many more, were all competing, eries was nearly unbeatable. His tunes were akin to Forza sorcery that only he could understand and drive. He was a racer, but could hot lap just as well as anyone when he wanted to. We miss the old man, but he has retired to a life of gaming leisure and family, and we wish him well.  
 




SP33D RAC3R 28x

With too many championship wins to mention SP33D has been here since the very beginning having started Forza 1 with the club NITE, then SABR, and then his own iRUF club.  He has won nearly every club event, league event, and national event he has ever entered.  He is a supporting founder of the IFCA.  Was a winning competitor at the WCG combines.  A contributing editor for the WCG.  Organizer of numerous club and league events. Won the T10 sponsored National hot lap contest in FM3 even though he has never been known as a hot lapper. His 1st place prize was a trip to Sonoma to drive an actual Audi R8.  Was ranked #1 by the IFCA computer rankings program, twice, and for the longest combined duration, and was for a time the highest rated driver ever. He has multiple FWC (Forza World Championships) to his credit too. And is an actual short track asphalt racer in real life.

SP33D RAC3R 28x has done it all several times over when it comes to actual competition.  Not much of a painter, or drifter, or even a tuner, SP33D has excelled at driving stock tunes at the limit in close traffic.  He has faced nearly everyone or anyone who was fast in competition, and while he may not have won every race, over the course of an entire season, there were few who would see the checkered flag of a championship race before he did.

SP33D RAC3R 28x has always been there to help promote the sport and others in Forza 1, 2, 3, 4, (FM5 is not considered a full version of the game)  Always a clean fast racer, SP33D has shown many of his friends and competitors what it takes to go fast. Several of his insights were even used in the Forza 3 Official Users Guide. Without doubt SP33D RAC3R has been a positive force and fierce competitor deserving of the recognition and induction into the IFCA/Forza Hall of Fame.

As an inactive Hall of Fame driver, the young guns were licking their chops to take a shot at a legend of the sport, and so they have recently as SP33D RAC3R has sporadically returned to teach everyone a good track lesson from time to time.


AAR GTDon

The seemingly ubiquitous, prolific, perennial brides maid, and never a bride, GTDon. The driver that in a sense started it all back in Forza 1. It was his enthusiasm for the game, and the sport of racing, that lead to his creation of organized Forza simulation racing.  Though never a great racer, occupying a no mans land somewhere between the truly fast and above average driver, GTDon is infamous for having earned the most number of runner up titles in FWC history (5).  To be fair he has many individual league and club championships to his credit, but always fell one position short in the big contests.  Perhaps his best result was finishing 4th in Turn 10's Nationally held contest in FM3, around LeMans in an Audi Prototype.  

GTDon's greater contributions, however, are more off track than on, as a club, league, and race organizer.  He is the founding father of the IFCA, and has been a member of such esteemed clubs as VVV.  He has been a contributing editor for WCG, a forum moderator for Forzamotosports.net, and most notably co-author of the FM3 Official Gaming Guide by Microsoft, T10, and Prima Games. With a history of advice and recommendations to improve the game from the racers point of view, GTDon has made his mark from the very beginning.

Sometimes loved, and many times hated, it can not be denied that GTDon has been an influential guiding force in Forza simulation racing. Although somewhat controversial at times, and often misunderstood, GTDon is still respected on and off the track for his endless efforts to promote the sport of organized Forza simulation racing, and for this, we salute him as a IFCA/Forza Hall of Famer. 

In a state of semi-retired racing, GTDon continues to advance the cause of the sport by offering the community the only computer generated ratings scale designed to accurately measure the skill of Forza drivers.  His IFCA world rankings list of drivers who have competed in organized racing is the definitive word on who really are the fastest Forza drivers in the world.

It has been the utmost of privilege and pleasure to drive amongst the people you listed there. Back in the day it was like a family, now I have another, but as the leading intro to this post directs, watch out, maybe one day, I will just decide to switch on that old box and insert that game disk.
